You really should take the glass plate in the microwave you could sale or donate them. They are expensive to replace if you break them. People are always looking for them at the op shop.

I just put a regular plate in mine. Works just as well. I've never needed one, except this one broke in a move. People always say they're in demand, but I don't see it. Tons of them at thrift stores.
