The water bubbling means it is actually boiling. At 29Hg the boiling point of water is only around 25°C. I think commercial chamber vacuum sealers pull around that figure. So although the liquid isn't hot, it is still boiling.

How does yours have a place for a tube to seal jars and containers? The photos I'm seeing on the Polyscience website and Amazon don't have that, but I really like that feature.

Can I fit in multiple presealed bags into the chamber? So that multiple bags can be vacuumed at the same time?
@HectorsSmokeHouse4 жыл бұрын
You can but they would have to be pretty narrow. They have to fit next to each other across the heating bar. You cannot put the bags on top of each other or they will stick to each other.
@sufrihadi4 жыл бұрын
@@HectorsSmokeHouse I mean I won't be using the heat sealer of the vacuum sealer. I'll preseal the bags using another machine and then place them into the vacuum chamber so that I can vacuum multiple bags at once
@HectorsSmokeHouse4 жыл бұрын
@@sufrihadi I'm pretty sure if the bags are presealed with air in, you won't be able to expel the air and create a vacuum. The idea is that the bag/contents needs to be under vacuum, sealed and air returned. Maybe I'm missing something ??

Is it large enough to do a whole chicken?
@HectorsSmokeHouse3 жыл бұрын
I’d say no and you will have an issue with the cavity unless you spatchcock the chicken. It will do small spatchcock chickens but not sure of the max size

Cold water does boil under vacuum.

Hey, you forgot to put the gold fish in the bag before sealing !

Hehe 😂 You’ve got me thinking, would would happen if you did that 🤔

The problem is you can only seal portions the size of the machine no... How would you even seal a huge brisket or rack of ribs in such a small space?
@HectorsSmokeHouse4 жыл бұрын
I seal sliced Brisket in this and its no problem. However if you want to vac a full sized Brisket packer you will need a different machine that can do 15-18" rolls. For competitions I use a Lava vacuum sealer from Germany, check out my channel and you will see a review for it.

How come you did not buy a vac master I never heard of poly science where is it made in Japan you can’t even buy right now a vac master any model on the web please advise why you went to this company
@HectorsSmokeHouse4 жыл бұрын
I'm in Australia and the vac master wasn't available. The PolyScience had good write ups. I compared it to other vac chambers in Oz and this looked the best and has been fantastic so far.

it seems to be too loud. I do not like that it does not have a gauge on the front to actually see the cycle from start to finish. those things are way too expensive to purchase and still see that the sealing of the water "air" was still in the bag. Maybe like you said the vacuum could have been a little stronger, but I will not be purchasing this unit because I did not actually see a real seal as in meat etc. disappointed because I really want one that can vac seal jars. Guess not. Sticking with the decision to purchase the Vacmaster VP230 or 320 I have to flip a coin.

We've now had this for several months and my wife uses it daily. We absolutely love it. Perfect for soups, chillis etc but fantastic for my sous vide use. There is nothing we don't like, it just works. However, we do not have and cannot get Vacmasters in Australia. I certainly looked at them and might have bought one if available over here. I'm sure the Vacmaster will also be great, I've seen many good reviews :-)

I got me a dz-260 for $300. Much cheaper then this model
@HectorsSmokeHouse4 жыл бұрын
Never heard of it. Looks like you got a great price. Ebay has different models with this same designation, no brand and most seem much more expensive that your $300, so you got a great price. Most pricing I see with shipping and tax, direct from China, is as much as the Polyscience. I hope it came with a great warranty with a local distributor, the DZ-260 wouldn't even come onto my list of units to buy. I'd be very very careful choosing the DZ-260. I hope your not just trying to spam this sealer???
@disonesto4 жыл бұрын
@@HectorsSmokeHouse i have a dz-260. Works just fine. Just make sure to add vacuum oil to the pump before using it. Its pretty much the same thing. Uses a hvac type vaccum pump with a small pcb to control the pump, soilnoids, and sealing bar.
