What a mind bending battle. I never knew of this strategy. (I'm pretty new to the game) The moment Blue captured his fourth city I was like nah, There is no way yellow would win (Blue also had the upperhand in water) but I guess that was due to my lack of experience with MBs.

It was a glory game, so it's a great strategy to get philosophy and buy many techs for a low cost to increase your score quickly

I rush Literacy every single time, it's super useful in the long run.

@@channelname7105 the opponent would just stop getting more mind benders and switch to giants, which would make knights kinda useless. They both had very strong tech trees, so it wouldn't be a problem to spam the knight rusher with giants

Oh my gosh. Thaught blue would have this one but I knew it was over for them once they tried keeping village surrounded by benders. All those stars spent to keep it another turn, only for your giant to be captured next turn. 😅😂

I'm curious as to why they don't use archers, catapults, and defenders? you can get archers and defenders really early and it makes an absolute beast for defense

archers and catapults would have been really useful IMO but idk why for those units. however defenders really would not do anything. giants were not even able to do anything because they just got turned due to the fact that they cannot attack after moving. tbh I think knights would have been the best play for blue though. a single knight could have killed all those mind benders. catapults could have killed mind benders from afar so I dont know why those and knights were not used. possibly somthing to do with the tournament?

@@dranox7197 I still think you could make a wall of defenders with catapults or archers behind them and just destroy any mindbenders before they can turn your defenders, then it should just be a slow march towards their capital.

Both players start with at least one horizontal move instead of 2 diagonal moves, resulting in only 3 scouted tiles instead of 5 when u go to the corner, (for blue that was blocked by mountain, but green could ve done it) What are the reasons? Is it more likely to find a town cause they are not equally distributed? Or are they fearing to encouter the enemy unprepared? Or smth else?

more resources spawn on tiles adjacent to villages, also when playing imperius a village can't spawn near an empty tile (on imp's terrain)

If you have wall in a city and a unit defending it while enemy unit is attacking the said city then your defending unit takes less damage
