Fun fact! The reason stores put out christmas decorations so early is because they have so many and they wouldn’t have enough time if they started later! Something I’ve learned from personal experience and friend experiences. I do think that’s some smaller stores start a little earlier than they should like cvs or any drug store really but for the most part that’s why christmas decorations come out in november.

Our store has been putting up Christmas since end of September and still putting some out now. People who don't work retail dont realize how much time has to go into it and how much product has to be sold in order to make a profit before things become clearance.

I used to think it was ridiculous that Christmas stuff goes up way before Halloween but since working retail i realize its because we have to sell all the stock and have time to sell it. Also there is a lot to put up and very time consuming especially when certain items cant be put out until all the fall/Thanksgiving items go. Most people do their Christmas presents and decor during November so when December comes they have it. Plus when December comes is when we start marking down prices and setting up clearance to sell faster.

Well this is perfect, cause I've always considered it a November movie. Can't let go of Halloween, but Christmas is coming! Also I am personally making a cd for my work that will have only string quartet christmas music. Nice and classy and no singing, so it won't kill us all daily. I worked at a craft store last Christmas and the music was HELL *I was going to use tooth enamel last year for my Disney Hades costume, but I bought it last minute and when I opened it up, it was dried out...sigh
