Pompeii - Lyricstuck

This is an unfinished lyricstuck, which is why the color suddenly disappears halfway through. Toasty did the lineart, and Oskarna did the colors and designs. Toasty has stated it will never be finished, but i think it's really really good anyway and i hope you enjoy it!

Dan Archer Well there is also the fact he knew how it would turn out. Since Kankri is Seer of Blood. In a sense he knew how he would die in life as sufferer since he remembered learning it from the Beforus timeline when they encounter the Alternia timeline. Plus there is also thr theory Beforus Kankri would have the same power to remember. In the sense that all his friends and enemies would be different. I honestly think Kankri didn't wish to ruin anything, wanting everyone to get along and be peaceful playing his role as "tumblr" and tagging triggers and going on sjw rants. I honestly feel he did some of it to be annoying on purpose. Since we see Karkat as depressed and filled with self loathing. Feeling his is a threat to his friends for even existing, but unable to seperate himself due to wanting interaction. Kankri probably succeeds in seperating himself and loaths his existance feeling like he doesn't deserve romance or friendship either even if he shows he wants it. I mean think about it, he is purposely rude and mean to Porrim, lecturing most of the time, and seems to be alone the other 90% of the time. So what if the Seer's of blood remember their past lives and make their actions on purpose for the greater good.

This whole thing man. Just, I originally didn't care for the Dancestors but there's SO MUCH history there; they've been through trials and pain and adventure just as much as Karkat's group, but we only know the littlest bits and pieces. And then how it transitioned into the Ancestors; a story we know slightly more about but there's just *so much missing* that we can't truly fathom the harrowing tale or how it actually went. -(and let's not talk about how the Signless is Kankri who is the Seer Of Blood and probably remembers glimpses of his past life)- Then we get to the Trolls we all know and love (not that we don't love the others); the Descendants. Who had their own fears and pains, but also had the adventure of their lives. One of those panels with Karkat's face where it's just sort of open/blank really got me. I don't know why but the absence of sadness or anger or grief or glee; it just hit me really hard. Gog I'm going to have feels all day. If anyone knows a really good fanfic about the Ancestors please link me to it. FF or AO3 preferably. I'm gonna go cry now.

Actually, not all seers see their past lives...Kankri thankfully never had the pain of remembrance of his previous life, but he still has to live with the fact that Mituna will never be the same...Also, anyone else feel like Cronus hides pale feelings for Mituna behind black flirting because he knows that if he angers him enough, he may shoot out sparks sometimes that may be completely broken, but still there?

Because I thought about it and Kankri "remembering" the life of the Signless and being utterly HORRIFIED about Alternia does explain him becoming, how to put this, the patron saint of tolerance (and *especially* at Meenah). His worst nightmare is Troll society becaming like the Alternian one was. EDIT: It also explains his dismissal about Porrim's feminism. Alternia has a TON of problems, but sexism? Not one of them.

I always forget just how in depth Kankri/Signless and the other Ancestors really are. I mean, like, after the scratch Signless (Kankri) remembered everything from Beforus. he watched everyone who were friends and were his friends (for the most part) be completely different and seperited. like Meenah was such a cool and badass character, ya she wasn't that friendly with Mituna and Cronus but in the alpha verse she (the Condesce) {or was it GHB...? no matter!} culled Cronus [who even tho is a douche was a neat character], killed Signless (Kankri) and his followers before taking Ψiioniic/Helmsmen (the sweetie Mituna). I mean, like, UGHHHHHHH FUCK YOU HUSSIE

If you think about it the only one out of the three who didn't really get much of what they're ancestors had was Nepeta. She tried to get Karkat to warm up to her and at least become close friends with her bush he usually just pushed off, and she died drowning in her own blood cause Gamzee broke her Bones leaving her there, so in her mean time (some head Canon that could be very accurate to be honest, not really) she drew Karkat with her blood by her and fantasized until she met her grim death, but I guess not everyone as caring as Nepeta gets what they Hope for, she had her Mind on it and let go for a while and then couldn't help herself, my conclusion is, life is a bitch.

This is the only messianic story I can sympathise with. Kankri was a preachy sensitive guy who was always concerned with the social quo then a universe later he remembers a better time and friends he made after the end of the world. And then when he dies for being less of an asshole his dancestor inherits a legacy of frustrated rage.
