I dont know if this is just my personal experience but I owned a husky for 10 years who passed in March. He was always fed at a scheduled time, but never was super excited at dinner time, and always ate his food over the course of a few hours. Later I learned that Huskies can control their metabolism to burn calories slower.

Our husky often refuses to eat for days at a time! we feed him every day, but most of the time he won't have much of it, if any. (Yes we have changed his diet repeatedly. No, this has not changed his willingness to eat. Yes, he does eat a lot when he chooses to, he just doesn't choose to most of the time.)

@@makeiciam9044 Does hé/she exercise a lot, how many miles/ km a day? Does it eat a lot of grass when you walk it? How is the stool? Does it eat raw meat and bones or only factory chunks. How old is it? What’s its weight? The husky is a breed with a high food-energy efficiency, but I agree it is not normal that it doesn’t eat for days and also frequently. Mine will remember me when it’s time to eat, you can set the clock on it. Four times per day.

My Pomeranian will so easily snarl and snap at ANYONE who does something he doesn't like. I can't let my kids take things away from him. But he is still sweet. He is such a ham to strangers when I take him out. He is just not at all gentle in the way he tells you to back off or not touch him or his toys at home.🤣 How is the husky in these situations?? I'm so curious if they are similar.

@@Deebnoff hi sweetheart. So my brother got the Husky (Kodi) in December and he is very much a puppy still so I don’t know too much about them…except for what I’m learning every day. He’s very energetic and loves to play! We took him on his first hike last weekend and he absolutely loved it! Very smart guy with the softest fur on a dog I’ve ever felt 💘 I wish I could share a picture of him because he’s absolutely stunning! Brown/grey with of course the bluest eyes! Sidenote: I have been taking care of my daughters Terrier/Chihuahua and she can be SO mean! She has definitely put his butt in check a few times 🤦‍♀️😂 Hope you are having a great evening! Everybody needs to be aware that Pomskies are considered mixed breeds, which means that when they cross a Husky with a Pomeranian you're NEVER guaranteed a perfect pint-sized husky. You can just as easily end up with a husky sized Pomeranian-looking dog. There is a lot of in-between AKA gambling when it comes to crossbreed and mixed breed dogs. However, if you have your heart set on a small husky look into a reputable Alaskan Klee Kai breeder or rescue. Please like my comment so others can be aware and not get scammed by buying a pomsky that grows to be too big or not what they expected which can result in the dog getting dumped at the pound 💔

Yup, it sucks. I'm a euthanologist for a tricity pound and I'm putting down designer breeds on an almost daily basis because they didn't come out as expected. What's worse is due to lack of funding I usually have to resort to less humane methods to do my job.

Please don’t get a pomsky unless it’s a shelter dog. They’re very unethically bred and if you think your getting a Pomeranian with husky colors, that’s absolutely not what you’ll get 98% of the time. Finnish Lapphunds are a good mini husky if you want one.

I have 2 pomskies and the thing about how diverse their personalities are is so true. One of my pomskies is shy, very much a one person dog and attached to me. My other Pomsky loves everyone and is super social despite both pomskies being raised the same and being the same age. They are very clever dogs (the husky in them).. both of my pomskies were pretty easy to train (they make great trick dogs!). They also really unique looking. It’s like taking a husky and shrinking them to Pomeranian size (some are larger.. but if you get an F2 or F3 generation they’re likely to be smaller - mine are 10 & 15lbs). They have the small size with cool/Wolfie look of a husky. They are hands down the cutest puppy imo.

There is a reason good breeding programs for pure breds charge 1000s... there is no good reason to charge the same or more for mixed breed who's health and standards cannot be predicted. I had a gorgeous Pomeranian for nearly 13 years. She was the ♥️ perfect dog for me & my family. And, mine ONLY barked when someone was at my door, or walking by the door. She weighed 13 pounds, & since she wasn't one of the tiny, tiny poms, she could always get up on my chair, couch, & climb doggy stairs to go to bed with me at night. CHD is what ended up taking her life. 💔

Depending on the genetic load inherited from each breed ... Yeah, that's the main reason why Designer Dogs should bot be encouraged. Plus, I have to wonder about the mind of whoever came up with this combination. We had a Doberman-Husky, whose mom was a purebred Dobie, and dad was an Olympic-class fence-humper of a purebred Husky. This was long before the designer breed of Dusky, and we were given our pup. The mixed pups were adorable, but some cartied all bad breed habits, and some carried some bad, some good, and then there was our sweet boy. We lucked out, because almost every one of his brothers' and sisters' owners had nothing but problems. Our pup was easy to train, very loyal and loving. Unfortunately, during his mid-adult years, he developed hip dysplasia, and his kidneys failed. RIP, darling Bandit. We still miss you.

Stubborn and intelligent is an understatement we have a pomsky. And she is a loving mischievous little jerk face. She will hog all of the toys and blame things on her sister, and if she really wants something and she doesn't get it, this dog will wait till you leave and take a dump on the carpet upstairs. First 2 times we thought it was an accident but nope it was intentional. Still love her she's the best lol
