Idk Pomu, waking up at 5AM and having himself run with a girl is a pretty telltale sign that a boy likes a girl, and of course girls would never think that way about boys with that kind of passive-aggressive personality during childhood. Pomu's vocab regressed lmao She may have forgotten the details, but she still retains the emotions. A fairly common setting would be that they somehow bump into each other again either by coincidence or through a mutual acquaintance.

dang, how is this plot so perfect? it literally has all of the elements to a rom-com the nice rival who she used to hate, who was nice but teased her, childhood friend, and her saying "even if I liked him I NEVER would have told him" is just further fueling the fire.
