Poncho liners, woobies, side by side. 2 USGI liners, Kifaru Woobie, Israeli liner and miltec clone

I probably won't post next week, so frontloading while I have time.
I don't remember seeing multiples together, so I thought that I should.
Ask any questions and I will answer as best I can. There are numerous videos on some of these with probably better descriptions, but I do everything unscripted.
These are great for in your pack, vehicle and home. I started using them over 30 years ago in the Marines and kept my original for years until it was in tatters. I bought a couple of newer, unused ones.
You can find these on the auction place, online surplus stores and, if you're lucky to have one near you, at a surplus store. Costs of them run $25-155 on what I have and I haven't bought any for about 3 years, so they may be more. Seems like unused USGI is around $50 and the Israeli around $35. The Kifaru is much more, but will most like last very long based on its excellent construction.

I've had their Doobie going on 10 years now and that thing looks brand new. Since I'm an avid Hammockgear I did a mod to mine (added shock cords around the perimeter so it works and adjusts like a high end under quilt for my hammock. I was able to use their hems to feed the shock cord through so no stitching was needed. The Doobie uses 6.0oz/yd APEX Climashield and in it's role as my underquilt it has gotten wet a couple of times and still provided me warmth (unlike down getting wet, looses it's loft and insulative qualities

Any MARPAT camo that is genuine will have the USMC logo printed into the camo pattern , you will have to look for it , the logo is also camouflaged very well to blend in 👍

That is supposed to be true. However, on the cheap on with marpat on both sides has the logo, it has a bogus NSN tag along with the Eagle Glove and Anchor logo.

@@eskimomarine2252 The Eagle, Globe, and Anchor (EGA) is copyrighted and the USMC will send a cease and desist letter out to them and shut the company down , looking for the "E.G.A" logo is a trick I learned when buying real military surplus , there are a lot of counterfeit items being sold coming out of China . I see a lot of phony NSN patches on especially woobies . The US Navy also uses an "Eagle over the USN" logo embedded in their camo pattern

Can't really go wrong with a poncho liner! I have the zippered USMC one, a few of the old woodland USGI and the Canadian army green horse blanket as well. They are great for pushing the USGI patrol sleeping bag to freezing temperatures with the right clothing.

The Marine Corps made a zippered one??? 😳 Once they let the Corps start making their own gear they made some bad ass stuff. I was in the Corps and had the old 782 gear before we had a new roll out of hear but in FAST we didn't get the gear the rest of the Corps did at that time, we had FSBEs and stuck with ALICE mountain rucks and the older USGI Gortex Bivy and sleep system

@@whatabouttheearth yup, marpat on one side, full zipper like an envelope sleeping bag and when new treated with a good dwr coating. One of my favorite poncho liners in my gear collection!

Check out the snugpak jungle blanket it’s warmer than the US liner but it’s great
