Part I: Thanks for posting such great pics. Are you aware that Sea World in Orlando has an attraction featuring a simulated helicopter ride through the arctic. It starts with a mock Arctic region airport. Pond Inlet, along with Grise Fiord, Resolute, and Tuk Tuk are on the departure board. Resolute and Tuk Tuk have tragic historys of Caucasion betrayal and appear too desolate. Yet all acounts are that Pond Inlet ranks among the world's most beautiful places and a must visit.

nobody deals with isolation. To us isolation is when one has no contact with the rest of the world or people. We do not consider ourselves isolated.

LOL! lilmissinuk gave a very open answer on how they don't consider their land to be isolating. She seemed quite genuine and non aggressive. Hahahahahahahahaha! I thought her answer made total sense! I know that as a foreigner I would not be used to the environment, but for someone who lives there and has family and friends, I'm sure that they wouldn't feel isolated, since they share many things together. Hahahaha, you're funny!

How do you guys deal with the isolation up there? Beautiful as it is, but the 24hr darkness....

Part II. How tourist friendly is Pond Inlet? Do you guys accept White kooks like me who would love to experience such a beautiful and foreboding place? What kind of money am I looking at spending to get to pond Inlet? I live near and work for Disney World in Florida. Would any of you like to stay at my place and get free Disney passes in exchange for letting me stay with them and taking me out for an arctic adventure?

Just a curious question to those still living in Pond Inlet. I watched a video years ago about revival sweeping across the Pond and men stopped beating their wives, people stopped drinking etc... and all turned to Jesus. Is this still happening?

Good answer! Rubiconuk1981 is a bit strange for thinking your response is offensive, HAHAHAHA! And ya, I agree with you. I'm sure if you came down south without your family you'd feel quite isolated... it works both ways.

No, just wasn't the answer I was expecting. I had a genuine interest and your answer came off pretty aggressive.

Why are you acting so defensive? It was an open question.
