Do yourselves a favour and listen to parts 1-3 back to back. Absolutely brilliant. I've been a huge fan for years, and this latest album takes me back to when I first discovered them...

Absolutely phenomenal song, the array of instruments melded together to produce this wonderful sound! It’s a masterpiece, the ending is off the scale… What a blistering and incredible song, my daily dose of wellness, play it at least three times a day! And was lucky enough to see it played live at Leeds in September! What an incredible performance that was👏👏👏👏Pond are the real deal!

Man, the song came at random and got to me HARD, I actually stopped what I was doing just to listen. I feel like It's been a lifetime since I've last heard this type of vibe in a song, instant favourite!
@LanceVanceDance845 ай бұрын
If you haven't done so before, then I HIGHLY recommend checking out the rest of their work. I guarantee you'll continue to have that same type of feeling, as they're one of the most consistently great bands ever and are one of the few who, after ten whole albums, somehow continue to improve upon their craft.

this song just hits different than all their other stuff. reminds me of the feeling i got the first time i listened to of moons, birds and monsters by mgmt. what a ride

The ending section of Of Moons Birds & Monsters kinda has that vibe of the album Man It Feels Like Space Again, feel like in an alternate universe Pond made the song and had it on the album

The Bell or whatever instrument that is sounds so menacing it’s great
@SonestaNowzaradanHeeler2 ай бұрын
The feeling that part 3 of the song generates, I don't know how to explain it, a sad nostalgia?, or simply a great nostalgia, a completely new feeling, difficult to explain, or am I Caught in a musical loop, where nostalgia invades and it is difficult to understand the wonderful feeling that the song gives, simply a total masterpiece.

Pond reduxing the pastoral sound of the old progressive rock acts like King Crimson then ending with their signature space rock madness. Hopefully they continue this suite with more parts.

Call it recency bias, but this might be Pond’s masterpiece. The moody vocals, unique time signature, the flute, the techno interlude, that ending. *chefs kiss*

Edge of the World Pt 1 is still pretty good
@LanceVanceDance845 ай бұрын
@@jvgranquist Of course. More than good even--Parts 1 and 2 are still phenomenal songs. The existence of this album in no way negates anything they've made before. It's _all_ great stuff regardless of how new or old it is. These guys just seem to be improving as time goes on; most bands tend to lose their spark by the time they reach their tenth album, if they ever even make it that far.

LYRICS: Men Huddling and shouting in the dark Crying out for courage, for a spark Illuminate the glass Reflects the band of brothers as we are As we are Who do we have to eat? Who do we have to kill? To get our foot in the doorway of the house at the top of the hill? High On the fumes of petrichor Why It feels like Mercury on the western shore I died, I swear When the ABC said we're going to war I really believed we wouldn't fight no more, I... Who do we have to eat? Who do we have to kill? To get our foot in the doorway of the house at the top of the hill? Caught some sleep on Swanston Street Finished the Ferrero Rochers And their bronze wings Shivered in the wind and Ash fluttered down to sleep in your hair I found love as the paper curled And hope Sinks like a pearl It's a light Plumbing the dark At the edge Of the world On our own
