Good summary. I like SueEllen too, and I cringed when Ben judged her as not the right kind of woman for Adam. I cringed again…like you…at the dinner scene at the Ponderosa with the family. If I watch this episode, I always fast forward through it. You have to respect SueEllen when she tries to warn Adam as to the kind of woman she is, and I always get a laugh looking at the horse’ face when the camera pans away from Adam and SueEllen about to…whatever. 🙄 With this episode, we get a glimpse of the man Adam is to become. One who doesn’t judge people…one who takes people as they are. And that’s one of the reasons we love him.
