The smash racket is probably your best creation to date. It’s a good first racket. I wouldn’t spend money on the sensei. For around £150 you can definitely build a very good custom racket.
@lunachen6286 Жыл бұрын
very true for 150 u can build a very solid pro set up
@jussttg11 ай бұрын
not really, as only 1 rubber in pro section is 30-50e, blades starts from 100e till 250e. Anything fast with carbon or other speed material is over 300e so you would need 200-300e for a solid custom racket.
@okami542310 ай бұрын
@@jussttgThat's just not true. You can build yourself a really good custom setup with around 150 bucks. Since they are also marketing the Sensei at beginners, it's just not the best idea to go for it instead of a custom racket at the same price.

@@wekkimeif7720 It is plain out impossible to learn table tennis without a decent rocket. If you use a cheap one, you will develop bad habits that will takes ages to get rid off. @@wekkimeif7720 tbh giving amateurs the latest up to date professional equipment is gonna make them play worse, give me the choice between 10-14 year old amateur equipment and the stuff tour pros use and i'm gonna pick the old clubs any time of the day. An amateur has completely different priorities when it comes to equipment than a pro, and it's important to know and recognise these differences. Professional equipment is designed to give the user as much control and flexibility as possible, that's about the exact opposite of what you want to give an amateur, you should give those people equipment that corrects as many of their mistakes as possible When you put me in a tabletennis match against a professional i'm gonna choose the racket that allows me to generate the least amount of spin possible, doesn't matter how much spin the opponent puts on the ball, i can at least return them

Haven't tried it but the Sensei Racket is rather expensive for a Premade one ... I play for almost 20 years and most of my Rackets were less then this ^^V Right now I play Rasanter R42 on both sides (its on sale very often for 40€) and use my old Andro Blade which I am using for 10 years already which was also somewhere around 40€ and I'd say its not far off from a Professional Racket except for it beeing less hard then what most professionals play .... I just can't stand hard rubbers, I just changed from 34° sponge to 42° which was rather hard already as I still often hit the net as the cuve is so much lower.

Never pay more than $50 for a ready made racket unless you buy DHS 5002 or 6002. For more expensive rackets always buy a good blade (you have a lot of good options between $100 and $250) and rubbers that fit your style. Stiga Arctic Wood is probably the best blade for performance / price ratio and a must have for developing players regardless of style. DHS , Nittaku and Xiom offer some interesting blades option for offensive and all around players. Defensive players suffer a bit more, but Yasaka and DHS have good options especially when paired with suitable rubbers.

For yall who want to know what the 500$ racket was, here it is. Background info: Butterly, a pingpong stuff making company, is one of the most famous world wide. The blade itself was I think the 30th anniversary blade that costs 400 or even 450$ and the rubbers, i couldn't see clearly, but if you want to fit the 500$ budget, it's probably dignics 09 or tenergy 64 or 05. Any type of rubber provided by butterfly is good to use, but as Mikka said, you should research not only the rubber, but your playing style as well.
