Pontiac solstice or Saturn sky stuck buttress / trunk flap

Your trunk flaps “buttresses” will not go up when you hit the button. It’s a tiny plastic clip that breaks. A clam shell sinker or mini bobber is all you need! Sorry the sound is not great the back ground noise was horrible! I hope this helps and I may just leave the bobber cause if you put a sinker you might have to bend the release are a bit to compensate for the sinker. Make sure you just fix both sides at the same time the plastic part on the other side is just as old and will break soon mine did 2 days later.

You are a huge life saver. Moved from Florida to Tenn last year so when I go into town I literally filled up when shopping. Few weeks ago my truck flap was a dud. Great videa...very helpful and it worked for me (on the buttress opening and cable/clasp repair). However, I used two strong zip ties to secure the wire head around eyelet. Opens perfect again ..with $$ paid to a dealer! THANK YOU!

Sometimes you cause it to get stuck by forgetting to undo the inside latch at the windshield first. Close this latch lastly when closing the top.

Yes it works!, in a pinch! A crimp weight would be better but I did not have one.
