The museum was quite interesting. Thanks for the shot of the information signs. I can pause the video and read them. In response to the canal boat display, there are loads of narrowboat channels that are quite fun to watch. Another of my UK interests.

I used to travel by train to-and-fro Porth and Treforest for a few years in the 70s. You just won another subscribe. Good evening to you in Ponty and a very good morning from Kuala Lumpur.

I knew Tom Jones was from Wales but I didn't know he was from Pontypridd - I wonder what it's like to live there? Must be nice

In my next door neighbour's cafe Edge Of Town(Kevin's cafe) - yes, it opened for a week and had to close down due to COVID, done a good job keeping it going! Also, my son did work experience in that museum! Good look around again !

My fountain pen is a TWSBI Got it from Amazon. Refillable. A magnificent pen.

@@PlanetImo I had a look on Amazon to see what it costs now, and see there's no free post option, not for Ireland anyway. I got free post and a small bit cheaper. After many years it's been the creme de la creme of pens for me anyway . I've used my Twsbi every day for years, having worked my way through pens , trying variations.

What a great day out. There's nothing wrong with liking mini cars etc at any age. Maybe one of your family can get you some for your birthday. I like certain toys as it reminds me of the past and fun days of my youth. Toys have changed a lot over the years. Everything used to come in tins and glass bottles when I was younger. Now unbreakable plastic. Of course though can be useful. I cut top off a plastic bottle and now the bottom half is hanging on a nail holding pens on the wall away from my mischievous cat.

Have you ever been to Chepstow? I’m the English side of the bridge and we often drive over the old bridge to Chepstow and Newport for shopping (just to change things up!). I heard there are some good retail parks near Caerleon. My friend Andrzej said there is a massive Primark? Not sure -

I have indeed - this is my most recent Chepstow vlog :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/rIfYiod4n953bqM from a while agi, though. Thanks, CJ

My nan always used to take me to Ponty when I was a kid and even today I am almost 45 years old I still go to that cafe in the indoor market across from the sweet store and have a bowl of faggotts and peas with a black coffee still one of the best cafes in Pontypridd well in my opinion.

I’ve never been there looks like a quiet town and you’re aloud to film in libraries it’s a public place payed by the taxpayers like the streets and police stations they don’t like it much but by law you can film. The sound is good today don’t know if you done anything to it or it was just me but it’s noticeable better today and not hurting .. it was good yesterday just a high tone kinda thing hard to explain.. Tom jones my step dad used to go to the same pub as him back before he was famous

Thanks Claire - I did recheck my audio yesterday with headphones but it seemed fine, so I think there must have been a glitch at your end and nobody else seemed to mention it. As a matter of routine with every edit, I normalise my peaks to -3 decibels, and after the compression, it goes through during the upload to YT it takes it down to around the -4.9db mark. Although US industry standard is around -6, you'll find the ads run at a way higher db level, so I chose this compromise setting as a halfway house between the industry standard, the ad volume level and the level of a lot of big KZbinrs. For example, Casey Neistat's most recent decibel level was at 1.8db, the Ingham Family's at -0.4db, Nick Nimmins' at -3.8bd. News channels tend to be a lot quieter. Rest assured I edit with both audio channel indicators active, and if there were any peaks they would go into the red, but there aren't as I mentioned, because I do normalise my peaks to -3 bd as a matter of course. I do hope you don't experience the glitch again. Thanks for watching.
@PlanetImo Жыл бұрын
Oh, and I make sure to always check my video and audio after its uploaded too, while it's still private, just in case, cos you could bet your life, the one time you didn't do it, there'd be a glitch. There was once in the lifetime of my channel - but it was an image corruption. Weird. Don't know what that was. Thanks again.
