I think they were friends at childhood but the infection didnt begin at their childhood cause that means the infection has been plaguing them for like 16 years or so. So i reckon they grew up together as best friends but got seperated due to the infection.

This was so emotional that almost made me cry it shows just how much Pony and zizzy cared about each other sure Pony made mistakes like joining the the silver paw and infecting doggy but he did everything he could to correct those mistakes and return to his one true love it was sure Pony was nervous to admit his feelings for zizzy but it was clear from the very beginning Pony loved her the day Pony first met her it was like he was staring at a sweet angel even though Pony was nervous to admit his feelings for her at first it became clear in Chapter 3 refinery when zizzy was infected he didn't want to leave her he promised her that they would find a cure this proved how much Pony loved her

I know I'm late, but this is actually amazing. Like, there are some piggy animations that are great, but THIS ONE IS 10/10 AMAZING plus I was really interested in Pony's full backstory. Anyways, amazing job! Edit: When Zizzy faded away while he was hugging her, I literally almost cried.
