Can you believe its already mid June and Ranger is now 2 months old (give or take some days) and so full of him self!
Right from day one, these foals learn how to follow a feel with a lead line around there neck (their tiny heads would not fit a halter very well), so now that they have gotten a bit bigger, they can fit halters and be lead around quite easily.
We have also mentioned teaching Ranger to pony.
Ponying is a slang term for leading a horse while riding the other.
Really is not too difficult, as foals learn from an early age to stay close to a momma and to move out at all gates.
For these foals, it will mostly be gaining their confidence and trust around another bigger horse...
Ranger is bursting with confidence and takes to this task readily.
was not more then 5 minutes before he figured out where Jordan wanted him to stay and how to keep in his halter (not dragging behind or leaning on his lead/halter)
Since we are often riding, this will give Ranger (and the fillies eventually) some time out to stretch their legs, be social & travel new terrains with us.
Thankyou for following along with the foals journey, we are so happy to share with all of you they're silly shenanigans and the Pure Joy they give.
