I see a lot of trailers in my area. Currently have a 2019 F-150 and I love it.

I’m in a 2014 f150 lariat. To nice for service and repair but it’s what I had. It works and I haven’t beaten it up. I’m only 5’7 and have no problem, but I also have a service cart and rip tide on the back. I just step up on the dula bar from having to jump on the tires.

My repair guy has a Sierra 1500 and he's taller. He loves it. He's had to borrow my frontier while his was being serviced and he mentioned how much he loves his larger truck.

To service pools. Could you use a small van as well? Would there be any issues with chemicals off-gassing or anything like that?

I wouldn’t want to do that and risk having an accident with chemicals inside my space.

Yes that is a good point. The longer the cab the shorter the bed, generally.

Another consideration, if your company has more than one guy you can help each other out when you breakdown. If you service accounts solo with no employees, having something dependable is so important. I think you can't go wrong with a low mileage Tacoma.

I think they’re great for a dedicated repair vehicle. Organization is key.

How do you fit the poles in that small of a bed?
@ChlorineKingPoolService3 жыл бұрын
So I have an 8x16 and because the riptide hands off the back I just feed the pole through the grab handle on the cart. It sticks out about a foot behind the riptide, but it isn't going anywhere because the riptide holds it in place.

I just bought a 2015 Chevy Colorado LT. 4 doors with a big cab and has a 4cyl engine. Averages 21-26mpg and came with a retractable bed cover! It has 50k miles and I stole it for $18k! The only complaint I have is the bed height but I am 6'2'' so it's not too bad. It would be nice to be able to touch the bed though.
@ChlorineKingPoolService4 жыл бұрын
Wow that is a deal! Yes I believe the 14 and up had the higher bed height. Great deal though. Thanks for watching.

I know. I found that out too. It’s nuts. They had a frontier on the lot for almost 40k. I remember when you could buy a brand new “S” model for $19k.

I’d recommend against it so you aren’t breaking in the fumes all day. Not to mention if you get in an accident and the chemicals spill into the cab.

Have you looked at used nisssn frontiers ? Or Honda ridge lines ? They aren’t popular but are reliable and cheaper than most pick up trucks . I’m currently looking into a used frontier 2022 or 2023 . Also looking into a Honda ridge line same year but under 50k miles for my gardening business.
