That’s a great excavator for that sized pool dig. Did you talk to the developer to get info on that french drain? Surprises like that can stop a job super quick. Good thing you got the OK, I wouldn’t want surprise water coming into the site.

looks like you went with direct mount for the rotator, do you have any regrets on that? I have a 4ton and i'm going with a sandwich setup but i keep thinking that i might be better off just mounting it directly to save weight and height.

No regrets. I don’t see the need to remove it unless you need to run a breaker, and we don’t. Direct mount gives more breakout strength and less weight

@@ShellerOutdoorLivingLLC Yes the hammer is one reason i am going with the top hitch, also they only over the fast oil system from top hitch to rotator for engcon in s40 so if i want to switch from grapple to bucket without hooking u[ hoses i had to go with the sandwich config.

Where do you haul all of your dirt to? That’s a lot of loads 3-4 yards at a time.

We had a place close by on this one. It wasn’t ideal but given the access and location of the dump it worked. We sometimes use a tandem dump truck service and I also added a larger single axle truck this week. 👍

About to pull the trigger on a 50 or 60 , any real difference in pulling on the road?

The 60 will weigh more so you need an adequate truck and trailer. I’ve never pulled a 50 so no sure the difference. We just upgraded to an 80 and use a dump truck and air brake trailer to transport
