Pool Plant Familiarisation

When delivering pool plant courses at client sites, I have to quickly become familiar with plant rooms I have never been in before. In this video, I go through the method I use to do this in the hopes it helps you get familiar with your own plant room.

We have high ph but a low chlorine reading in jacuzzi at hotel..we are struggling to get chlorine levels and ph levels in the right target area...we did use too much chlorine reducer so we backwashed/dropped it right to bottom and refilled with fresh water..we did this x5 times...if we lower ph? Will chlorine levels go back to normal. Is an alkalinity test needed? What is best way of doing this? Would really appreciate a reply. Ph was 8.0 and chlorine like 0.8 (dpd1) and most confusing was that dpd3 was lower than dpd1 reading 0.3

Free chlorine should be twice the combined. Aim for free chlorine 3ppm so combined chlorine should be. 1.5ppm, or lower. Keep ph 7.2 to 7.5 and Alk 80 to 140.

If you maintain ph at correct levels chlorine will be more effective so combined chlorine should stay under control.
