Well, yes. Anything becomes complex if you want to do it as well as possible. It is easy to sprint - just run as fast as you can. However it is very difficult to learn and get the form exactly right to go faster than you would without said form.

Man have on average beter hand eye cordinaton. I think if both play on the same level minute difrences like these make a big difrence. 1 example is gaming wher ther a 2 difrent coloured teams which are not the same for both partys. Meaning your team is not allways blue and the enemy team is not allways blue to them. The red team has a profable advantage in games wher agressive play is favoured and blue teams in games wher strategy is favoured. In fact this minute detail has on the profesional level such a hughe impact that the difrence in average win betwen the coloures can be up to 25%.

That shot on the 9 to 10 on Tony's story is either poorly illustrated or he was really high when he played against Earl (which is very unlikely) cuz it looks like he has enough angle to nudge the 10 to a better position with a normal draw stroke, I think the team poorly illustrated the shot

It’s a shame that Pool is no longer on TV and poker has taken over. Pool is truly a beautiful and magnificient game. The players on TV make it look way more easy than it really is. It’s one of the hardest games to play and these players are running racks and racks of 9 or 10 ball, getting 50+ balls in without missing while amateur players like us can’t even string together 3 balls.

The BCA and quite a few people in the industry are partly to blame for the way the sport is in America now, especially when you have so many people organising independent tours/tournaments and not enough legitimate professional tournaments being organised and governed by the BCA as it should be done. America needs the BCA to be made relevant and the dominant governing body again... or the players, tournament organisers and industry members need to form a new governing body that will see them all working together to make the sport better, stronger and more rewarding for everyone involved so it's a win/win for players, the industry and the sport.

Jennifer, great story about going into '"f**k it" stroke. But before that, was something just as meaningful. Taking a break, you revealed your embarrassment to your opponent. Instead of bashing you while you were down with some hurtful comment, she was encouraging, a real human being hearing your pain. Despite losing the match, and being upset about, the woman had a moment of greatness every bit the equal to your outstanding play, only different. It was uplifting to hear of her empathy as well as your fine comeback. I hope I get a chance to be as good as either part of the story - the kindness, or the comeback.

In the first shot on the 1, why did you need to cannon into the 2 ball to develop it. It must've gone in anyway if you were able to kick it into the middle?
@inycepoo
@inycepoo 6 жыл бұрын
It's for position on the next ball. Developing the 2 into a complete hanger with a full pocket width to play position with is much easier than using the tiny clearance the 2 ball has if it were not moved. With such a small clearance near the side pocket point, you also can't use much power, which makes setting up position that much harder. Well worth the effort to do so, but as we saw, the risk is overshooting the 2 and ending up with a guaranteed cut scratch into the side
@jamesoertli7955
@jamesoertli7955 6 жыл бұрын
She is jacked up over the 9 ball making a rather thin cut shot. Trying to slow roll a ball to hold shape is never a good ideal and when you add in the element of being jacked up it make a hard shot even harder. She shot the correct shot but apparently didn't execute it correctly or misjudged the path of the cue ball.

Never knew pool could be so complicated and strategic
@RuFi0000000
@RuFi0000000 2 жыл бұрын
At an amateur level, pool is all about making a ball. In professional play, it's all about controlling the cue ball. It's a game that has a never-ending skill cap, and if you want, you can learn something quite literally _every single time_ you step to the table. In my 20's, all I did was drive around to bars and pool halls that had free pool night and I would just play and play and play. Mostly by myself. If I missed a shot, I would get those binder reinforcement stickers, and I would set up the shot with the balls placed on top of them, and I would play that shot over and over and over again until I never missed it. Unfortunately pool is a diminishing skill, so the more you play, the better you get, but it also works in reverse. I'm not nearly as good as I once was. It's why you get so many older guys in the bar going "back in my day I could have made this with my eyes closed" or "I wouldn't have lost if you played me 10 years ago!"

Pool vs snooker....it’s irrelevant which game you consider easier....the skill of your opponent determines who tough the game is....pockets aren’t big or small just for you.
@charlieknowles3347
@charlieknowles3347 6 жыл бұрын
You're talking about two games where your opponent might not even get to the table, so is irrelivant to how hard a game is skill wise.
@philmazzie3674
@philmazzie3674 6 жыл бұрын
@@charlieknowles3347 exactly. You're not playing your opponent, you're playing the table. Jennifer never said her opponent was shooting better, only that she herself was shooting poorly. Sorry pt109, the skill of your opponent has nothing to do with how you shoot. There's kids that beat the black widow. Why? Playing the table. Next time, shoot before you speak.

@Reggiela-zc3cc
@Reggiela-zc3cc 6 жыл бұрын
@@ojl5055 You are wrong. Pool excellence at it's highest levels requires a more powerful stroke than snooker (heavier cue ball), better position play (tighter spaces within which to place the cue ball), along with a mastery of different games requiring different strategies including 8 ball, 9 ball, straight pool, banks, one pocket, etc. I'm not aware of a snooker player who has a won a major tournament playing any of these games, and I've never even seen a snooker player attempt to play one pocket. So just to recap, you're wrong.
