Thank you so much for saving me over $40 at Jared's! As soon as the gentleman said $37.99 + tax, I thanked him and exited the jewelry store. Yours was the first video I saw on YT that said "No Tools", and this was absolutely perfect! Thank you for your precise instructions including what not to do.

I watched this and removed the links in less than 3 mins. I saved $25! This video is informative and precise. I used a spanner instead of the hammer. Thank you so much!

Wonderful idea using items easily found around the house. I was so upset that the jeweler’s I took my watches to get resized did not take out the proper amount of links and made me come back twice because jeweler went to lunch. Wasted an extra hour of my time. They said I could bring my watches back to be resized again for a nominal fee. Forget that! So happy I found your video. Managed to resize for better fit with the instructions on the micro sizing in clasp closure. Thank you so much!🙏

Great video! 🎉 Thanks so much! I came up with couple of tips that made it work better for me. I cut the tip of the push pin off with a small wire cutter to give it a more solid, flat pushing surface. I pulled the link wire out with a pair of pliers. I enrolled my wife to do the pounding with the screw driver head while I held the push pin and band in place. It only had to come out a millimeter or two before I was able to pull it out with the pliers.

It works perfectly. I just fixed one of 2 watches I got from Walmart that I bought until I can afford a nicer watch. The first one’s clasp fell loose (2 flat strips of metal with a notch and a tiny pin) and I can’t figure out how to fix it. I started with the other watch and got it in 2 minutes. Make sure you guys take a link off each end so it’s not uneven. Brilliantly done and thanks again! 🤘🏻❤️🔥

I was skeptical at first. But wanted a quick way to change out my band on my new watch as the watch store is closed today and excited to use my new watch. It worked! I thought a rubber mallet would be better to use then the end of a screwdriver to bang out the pin, but the screwdriver is better as the mallet head is too large for a pinhead. Also the quarter trick worked to put back the remaining part of the pin to flush with the band. Hey Thanks!!

Worked like a charm. I love videos like this that teach you how to do something new, thank you. I am not sure if it was mentioned but when inserting the pin back in make sure to go in the opposite direction of the arrow. Great video!

Unbend a small paperclip and grip it with pliers. Use the tip of the paperclip to simply push the pins out of their links. This works much better for removing the pins. You can also use the paperclip to recess the pins when reinserting. Cheers

thanks! since all I have is paperclip, I tried using just paperclip to remove the pin, works wonder, just take a bit longer perhaps. worth mentioning that eventhough I accidentally hit my bracelet a couple times pretty hard with the paper clip tip when inserting the pin back, it doesnt scratch my bracelet with ion coat.

If you're struggling to hit that first pin out, try cutting the very tip of the thumb tack with a pair of pliers. I found that helped me hit the pin at least starting out and then moving on to normal sharp pins.

This makes sense. But I don’t exactly understand how you get the pin to come out when the watch is flat on a surface. 2:57 How is there space for it to come out?

For people struggling, make sure there is room on the other side for the pin to start coming out. If its flush against the table it's going nowhere. I made a notch in a piece of wood to help
