Another great video! Really appreciate the way you cleared up position value haziness with the line from center to corner pockets. Wish you had time for more videos, this stuff is super helpful!

@ColinGailey Hi Colin, how have you been? Hopefully, the busy holiday season is treating you well and offers up some downtime for relaxing. That little trick of splitting side pocket to corner is clutch for me to! I would find myself assigning the incorrect PV, resulting in the slightest miss. No more of those shenanigans, right!! I'm trying to speed up my video output man. I'm way behind on technology, so it takes me forever to turn an idea into video. Positive encouragement like yours inspires me; i thank you for that. High fives and fist bumps my friend!! Be safe.

@ I’ve been good! Hope you’ve been enjoying the holiday season to the fullest. Man, after your last video on alignment I nearly imploded. Happy to say I’ve finally arrived at something that gives much more consistency. Gotta say I flip flop between Poolology and more of an angle guesstimation. Poolology works best for me in zone B and with side pockets. Zone A works pretty well for me too but it doesn’t seem to work for shots close to the rail. In cases where the ball is anywhere from about a chalk to 3 balls distance away, I seem to have to subtract about one increment. e.g., position value 30, alignment 15 I shoot as 3/8 instead of half ball. Have you experienced this? Any tips on shooting in this area of the table?

Wife's got me going to axe throwing tonight, so I figured I had better write back now due to the high probability of me losing digits tonight. Guesstimation is an excellent sign that you are evolving into subconscious shot making. This is awesome!!!! An aiming system is great to have when you fail to pick up on a certain cut or just don't feel comfortable with what you're seeing. Zone A has two adjustment rectangles in it. One at the 40 PV and the other is along the rail from the pocket to the 1st diamond. This one, you thin the shot by 1/4 fraction. The 40 PV rectangle you thicken/full the shot 1/8 fraction. Don't forget about them. As far as having to thin the shot as you described in your example; it is due to offset caused from CB to OB distance. Any shot you take using Poolology will have to be slightly adjusted if the distance is about 6" or less. If the Cue gets close to the object ball you will have to cut it slightly thinner than the system predicted. I do mention and cover this towards the end of the Side Pocket aiming video. If this is not exactly what your question was, let me know the exact location and shot setup of where you're having trouble, and I will address it specifically with a Shorts Video posted to your question. Easy breezy!! Lemme know if this covers your question and wish me luck tonight. Wife throwing an axe 🪓 sounds like a B rated horror film in the making...

@ Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, I’m stoked that a lot of the most common shots are part of my subconscious, thanks for validating that. Good reminder about the adjustment spots. Regarding my previous question, I actually have to thicken the shots along the rails otherwise I tend to over-cut by a smidge. This only seems to happen when the ball is somewhere between a chalk and a few balls away from the long rail. A specific shot I’ve tested many times on several tables is PV 30, AV 15 on long rail. No matter if I’m cutting to the left or right I have to hit a bit fuller than a half ball to sink it. Is what it is, no big deal. Was just curious if that was your experience as well.

Hi and good morning Brian. If I ever get out of line with the information I provide in my videos about the aiming/learning system; you make sure to use your Intro-Net hand to slap me back into check. I know i was unnecessarily detailed just to make a ball in the pocket from 6 inches away. I like that there are people out there who thrive on the small details, and I do it for them; the few. My skin is hard like woodpecker lips, so the negative comments bounce right off. Big thumbs 👍 👍 back at ya, and I one up you with a Happy Holidays 🎄

Fun Snooker fact for the day: Sir Neville Chamberlain, a British Army officer, is credited with inventing snooker in 1875. Chamberlain combined the rules of two pool games, pyramids and black pool, and added new colored balls. The name "snooker" came from a British Army slang term for new recruits, which Chamberlain used to describe a fellow officer's poor performance at the table... Thanks much for watching 👀 and commenting 6.5

How about explaining the position of the Object Ball on the10-20-30 side as regards the ball located between the 10-20 mark or between the 20-30 marks. The diagram in the book shows the 20 mark line also heading towards the 10 mark. And it shows the 30 mark line heading towards the 20 mark. So could an Object Ball be located at a position of 18, is it on the 20 position? Are Object Balls on the 10-20-30 side of the table given only those 3 locations, or should they be given locations between 10 to 20 to 30 (I.e. say 17 or 23 or 27 as an example?

The reference to 10-20-30 or 40-80 is just to identify the two different range of values. You are correct. The position value will be the exact number where the OB is sitting. Your example of the 18 is correct. Not quite to the 20 right. Can be any number from about 5 to 35. All depends on the OB location. The more accurate you call it the more accurate the results. Same in 40-80... 41, 55, 74 you got it!! Awesome!

Hello D, Cool you mentioned this. As I do more videos related to Poolology, I've had thoughts that people would begin to think exactly what you wrote. That I'm only on here to sell the book... It has been bothering me, and I'll take this opportunity to explain why I talk about this particular system. First, I promote whatever system works for the person who wants to learn. ...even the "no system" system is good in my book. For me I somehow gravitated to fractions and on top of that, my mind likes numbers. That said, it was a no brainer that Poolology pulled me in. My videos on the system never say, buy this; it's the best ever. My statement intent is only that if you do use the book, here are some TIPS that my help in certain areas. Side pockets, banks, fraction basics, and so on. In the end, this may mean nothing to you, but I wanted to respond as you did take the time to voice your thoughts. Wish you a safe New Year. 6.5
