Poonagala mountain (Pilkington point| Millennium point) , Koslanda, Sri Lanka 🇱🇰

Pilkington point and Millenium point are are two view points, the second one being the peak of the Poonagala mountain in Koslanda area. Koslanda is situated at Wellawaya- Beragala road, 17 km from either towns. From there a rare bus or a three wheeler have to be taken for reach poonagala and entrance ticket is 100 Rs per person as it is a private property of Maskeliya group. The ride is about 12-15 km from Koslanda and a 2 km easy trail would lead to the view points.
The most significant of the area is that there can be wild elephants roaming in there even at bright day light and can be very aggressive as well. There for it's a must that if you travel, ask the locals for precautions. Camping is extremely dangerous as well.
The view from the above is quite a view and make sure that take care of yourselves while traveling and keep the environment clean.
