The worst part of episode 4 is that as much as this series isn’t “real” THAT situation happens especially to down on their luck people (mostly women) i actually appreciate that angel is a guy too because anyone can be abused like that

Episode 4 is certainly one of the best episodes of the show so far in terms of great storytelling and character dissection, and it's such a rollercoaster of emotions, but in a good way. I knew Valentino would be a despicable piece of s***, but man, this episode truly made me despise him; I'm glad Vivziepop (creator and writer of the show) didn't hold back in showing the reality of Angel's heartbreaking situation. Angel's escapism is tragic and also very relatable to a lot of people who suffer from the same real-life abuse and self-destruction. Husk being an overlord was also a crazy reveal, and I can certainly see it; in fact, if you go back to the pilot episode on KZbin, you can see a shadow of Husk in the ensemble shot of all the Overlords when Vaggie explains who Alastor is. Keith David as Husk is such incredible casting, and I adored "Loser Baby" as the harmonious, uplifting tune gives you a cosy and calm feeling after watching such dark moments. Blake Roman and Keith David absolutely killed it in this duet.. The soundtrack overall in the show so far is *FIRE!*❤‍🔥🔥

Husk and Niffy are both surrounded by Alastor's "aura" in that scene, showing that their inclusion is more so as associates to him than as Overlords themselves. If we're taking the pilot as canon, then it only took place a week or so before the first episode of the main show. Husk wasn't an Overlord then.

Fun fact: Husk's VA Keith David also played Dr. Facilier in Disney's Princess and the Frog. And at the end of that movie, his character gets defeated by being dragged to hell by demons because he made a deal with them that he couldn't repay. So you can technically consider Husk to be an ex-Disney character and that as his origin story for ending up in hell when you think about it. XD

My theory on how quickly alastor built his rep quick was making deals with past overlord he defeated and also owning the souls they own. Husk seem to mostly make his deals though gambles and much of gotten alot of souls from that.

I’ll say this episode 4 is definitely the darkest episode but in my opinion episode 5 is easily the funniest episode. That aside What I love the most about this episode was how it treated the message and showing of abuse in the 18+ industry, it was very mature and grounded making the scene hit way harder than just Valentino using Soul Magic to torture Angel dust, his assault is slow and realistic to the point where you can see this happening irl (which it unfortunately does).

Not me hooking onto the tangent at the end… you shake the sour and egg white until it's like a meringue-y foam. Think like cold foam on steroids. It's rather nice and my favorite part of a whiskey sour. It is work to get a nice smooth, thick foam though. I usually only make one or two before switching to faster cocktails. I don't order it often because 1. It isn't always shaken enough. 2. If it is done correctly it can be a pain for a busy bar. 10/10 would recommend trying a sour though. They are so fucking good.
