Yes, the guy who helped had a bond with Leo but probably could not afford to look after and feed such a big dog. The owner should be banned from keeping dogs. There are EU laws but in many countries, they are not upheld and should be. More people should be banned from keeping dogs for life. I worry about the new dog and how the owner treats it to make it nasty to guard the house. Leo is a big, beautiful dog with a big heart and soul. THe former owner is a shrivelled little toad with no soul.

I don't know, but perhaps it could help if there were some kind of mandatory control of the health and welfare of animals, in which owners, once they have a pet, would have the obligation to register on an official list, and this would entail the obligation to allow that the authorities verify at home, at an unexpected moment, the health of the pet ... and in case of observing any sign of abuse, take the pet out from that house and prohibit the owner from having any type of pet from that moment ...

Ken Kloiber: We rescued a German Boxer that his owner named him Diesel. He wanted a guard dog. He surrendered him to the shelter. He is kind and has Epilepsy. We got him around 5 years old. Hank is now 12 and much loved. He has the best life possible.

Owner still should have called to get the dog taken instead of leaving it outside. But dog seemed to want to be there so owner was most likely kind. He just wanted a guard dog which is fair. Dogs aren't only lapdogs. Some people have real uses for them. Which seems to be the case here.

Either way, your God chose not to intervene when it could, making it an asshole; or your God cannot act, thus making it weak.
