raggedstar trying to dislodge brokentail is genuinely terrifying - i've never seen animation like this, where it's not just 'cat kills cat', it's 'this cat desperately wants to live, he doesn't want to die, he's trying everything he can think of to save his life but it still doesn't work.' you can feel his desperation and fear and rising panic and it's amazing and gut-wrenching, even if i've never really liked him.

Raggedstar trying to shake Brokentail off like that was so realistic and very attentive to detail! Most fight animations don’t have things like that, but it really is something that might happen in an actual fight between wild animals!

One thing I gotta applaud you for is @ 0:02 . You can pretty clearly see brokentail raking his hind claws along raggedstar's back, which is something real cats do. They grapple their opponent with their front legs, and then kick like wild with their back ones. Yall did a good job mashing in the spirit reference (some of my favorite animation from the movie) and real cat behavior, wickedly well done!

KEBY OKAMI SALLY THIS IS SO GOOD!! Keby set up such an awesome composition for the shots and gave it so much energy, Sally’s fleshing out of the storyboard flows so well and has such personality (and fluff!), and Okami’s shading is always just the equivalent of a mudskipper doing an eyes emoji,, amazing work, the three of you!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Oh this is absolutely lovely!! I adore the smoothness (especially with the slow motion) and how you portrayed Raggedstar’s attempts to fend off his son! It really emphasizes that the ShadowClan leader couldn’t be brought down so quickly, even with the latter having the advantage of a surprise attack!! Fantastic work you three, y’all really pulled off something amazing together! :D

Really quick movements yet combined such smooth animation. You can really feel the emotions in that scene and the surprise that strikes his eyes before the fear sets in as he first turns to meet his attacker and looks towards the Viewers.. I love the action and how the world slows down as he jumps onto him. Beautiful work!!!!

This HEAVILY reminds me of Dreamworks’ Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, which I highly revere as one of the, if not THE final movie of their Golden Era. Excellent, damn-near studio-level work I’m seeing here. Bravo!!

dude, I REALLY like how it's like an actual movie see from the late 20's, or wild documentaries where something short happens, and then it shows the big reveal. Like how the antagonist is speeding up to Raggedstar, he turns back but it is unfortunately caught in the grasp of Brokentail. While he's bucking Brokentail off, broken tail hangs on for dear life. I also immensely like how Brokentail's tail was ragdolled when he headed for the kill, then it went back to it's upward shape when Raggedstar was trying to get him off. Very good work!
