Not all water houses suffered as " Country Girl " did. Your comment does not help. Her location of the floating house is what let her down with no land protection from the storm. Hopefully this she will learn from and find a safer place for the floating house.

Nice to see you get help from the other Lake Living people in the area. I feel that the location move of your house boat is in a better protected place from strong winds. I saw you had a large roll of wire I would recommend using it on the roof poles to add strength to fixing them to the wall posts - the nails you used are good but wire will make the joints much stronger ok. Well done 👍

You were so heartbroken to see all your hard work in pieces in the river that I couldn't help but cry with you. However, you didn't give into your grief; you began to pick things up and putting things back together.. I truly admire your strength, courage and resilience! You are stronger than you know. I could see the determination in your face. Then, a miracle happened: your community came to help restore your houseboat, put things to right, to share a meal and help you shoulder your grief. i would add some new barrels to keep your house afloat. the barrels you have got will get rusty and start to fill with water. adding new barrels will help
