It’s not as if she can’t physically wield her own sword, she has just lost her conviction and reason to fight, which means she can’t harness incarnation.

and considering the Osmanthus Blade has the highest object priority level known in the Underworld (greatly surpassing both the Blue Rose Sword and Night Sky Blade, both of which are extremely high themselves), not having the conviction nor the incarnation probably literally means she cannot wield the sword.

I think she is also getting rusty and out of practice cause since the past 6 months, she hasn't been practicing with the sword and also taking Kirito all that time. It can be shown when she didn't successfully cut the tree cleanly.

Kirito blames himself for not saving Eugeo and when there was a power surge at R.A.T.H because of the intruders Kirito went into some kind of depressional coma and now all he can do is hold his swords😥😥😥😥. It's super sad when you stop to think about it.
