I totally disagree. Sometimes,we parents, want to give our children something more because they deserve it. My husband and I did that . Our son never demanded anything . Never ! Growing up he got part time jobs while studying and offered to help him but he refused. We are so proud of him . We “spoiled” him but he didn’t become a “ spoiled “ child if you know what I mean. Our neighbors were not like us . They didn’t buy their son presents . He had to save up if he wanted to have something special like a new telefone etc. He ended up stealing from his work at the age of 18! We saw , spoiling our son as a reward for being a good kid , good student . We talked to him a lot about children having nothing and every time he finished dinner he gave me a kiss and said: thank you mama for the dinner! You can always teach your kids about life without depriving them from a little extras. Giving them a hard time doesn’t always work to their benefit My siblings and I were raised thé gave the same way and we became really good people. We always appreciated our parents and gave them back not because they demanded it but because we wanted it Of course that is my opinion based on my experiences !! Kind regards ❤❤
