Personally, I really enjoyed this anime. Especially with how arrogant Leon is, I just find it amusing. For example, how he talked to the princes in the duels, I just found it quite hilarious watching them in despair rambling about how he's just arrogant because his armor is strong. He even AGREED on it and said how much HE LOVED IT. He also said that he would continue to act like a mob character but did the absolute opposite and did everything which made him gain nobility and made Angelica and Olivia fall in love with him.

As the story progresses we can see the true colors of Marie's true nature (aka as the Mc's sister) we can hear her talking about how much she didnt like her brother. But something did catch my eye. Trough the entire season i dont recall her ever mentioning her brother's death. That leaves me wondering that the Mc'sister died before The Mc did!

She was the spoiled golden child that he was groomed of always take care of his little sister and she actually was worse than his new life sisters on how much a brat she was. She blackmailed him with the she'd tell the truth to Mom about the manga if he beat the game 100% then used money she'd conned out of her parents for a license and Leon "just because" to go on the vacation she was posting phones with I'm having the time of my life captions and threatening Leon of you better finish the game before I'm back. Leon was already exhausted since he had to work to support himself and college so brain didn't work until he'd beaten the game "oh yeah she gave me solid proof the manga was hers and she misappropriated the money" and forwarded to Mom and Dad then died. Mom and Dad of course blamed her for him dying and them not getting to apologize and threw her out. She hooked up with a loser with gambling problem that'd promised to take care of her and had a kid then dying to DV

Leon’s okay, but he has a case of imposter syndrome, he’s too arrogant at times, and he’s rather dense when it comes to the feelings of the girls in his growing harem. He needs to respond to the girl’s feelings. I kind of like the character from the story “Villager A wants to save the villainess no matter what”. The MC in that story is more goal driven, he wants to get involved to save the villainess, and in doing so prevent the collapse of the kingdom, and save the people he cares about. Whereas Leon keeps saying that he won’t get involved but his actions keep contradicting himself? Besides he should’ve realized that he wasn’t going to not get involved since he acquired Luxom?

Those who read the LN will know how disappointing this story gets after volume 3. No relationship building with his two current fiancé. They get tossed to the side while Leon goes on to add more and more characters to his harem. Worst thing is the next target isn’t even likeable. She’s one of those plain, damsel in distress type and he spends 2-3 volumes to fix her problems. So much wasted potential.

However,it’s fails as a harem because everything they built on the first three volume gets tossed aside. If you look at High School DxD, Sekirei, Monster Musume, Shinmai Maou no Testament etc you will see that they never toss aside the main members of the harem even when you’re adding new ones. It creates a feeling of disconnection. Also, one of the main attractions of this show was the MC’s personality. But his character also goes downhill after volume 4. He does a lot of things that contradict everything the first three seasons showed. It feels hypocritical. Finally, the worst part is that even though he acts like a chad, he is so much of a wimp that his harem needs to pleasure each other because our guy can’t make up his mind. Way to destroy his character and make him a beta.
