Poorly Magoo 😢

Magoo had a couple of what I thought were seizures today 😢. Apparently they're tremors as they don't last very long. He's not right but I've to keep an eye on him. Let's hope they don't last long 🙏 🤞 ❤️

I'm just a normal everyday lady who feeds friendly wild foxes and squirrels that come to my garden. Under no circumstances am I trying to tame them as pets or allow them into my home. I am also NOT a fox rescue service. They turn up of their own free will. Being urban, food isn't always easy to find, as not many areas for them to hunt, so I like to try and help them a little if I can. They are not totally reliant on me and haven't lost the ability to hunt for themselves. I will give them medication when needed for mange, infections, and pain, but that is under the close eye of the fox experts 🦊
ChipChip, Cookie, Jimmy, Pip, Daphne, Ringo, and Howie are the seven regulars that arrive most evenings. Basil hasnt been seen since the end of November, just as mating season started 😪 But I live in the hope that he'll return one day 🤞
Biscuit, was the first fox to befriend me back in 2021. Unfortunately she passed away Sept 1st 2023 and she is sadly missed by everyone who got to know her 😢❤️ I'd like to thank The Fox Angels Foundation and Second Chance Fox Rescue for all the help, support and advise with trying to help Biscuit. And the continued support they still give me. I can't thank you guys enough! 🦊🥰
Kenny and Norman, my two cats can be seen from time to time, plus there's Dave, the streetlight 🤣 Random cats, and not to forget the squirrels! ❤️ Plus, there's the badger! and sometimes a hedgehog!

I had a collie that had seizures. Vet put her on steroids which didn't do anything. She got so bad she couldn't stand up. We had to have her put down in the end as the vet thought she had a brain tumour.😢

My girl is a collie . She has epilepsy. On meds of my choice. Works great . 2 Small seizure in 2 yrs . Environment , food , good health vitamins & exercise, I feel helps her I hope all works out for this pup..❤🦊

It's a good sign that Magoo is eating. Sometimes, you never know what causes these seizures. A lot of times, they outgrow them. Keeping good thoughts for all the babies. ❤❤❤

My Liz (dog) has them. Post ictal they are very disoriented and agitated, then they cuddle for comfort and sleep

Oh no! Our sweet baby Magoo. I have a dog with seizures, and we manage them with meds. (She was a stillborn and resuscitated too long, causing damage) Perhaps 2nd chance Fox Rescue can help with diagnosis, and maybe Magoo can live with you and receive treatment.

Hello ,the cubs are super cute ,i absolutely love watching them I just wanted to say magoo needs to see a vet ASAP ,a seizure is a bad sign of liver/kidney problems ,dehydration ,or even heart worm issues ,something is going on with him ,maybe even low blood sugar ,as soon as you take him to a vet the better :) (they are both real cute but magoo is my favorite)

@@jenn1730 I thought that the plan was to rehab these babies & release them to the wild; can’t be done if he’s on meds. Big problem if this is infectious; will it be transmitted to others? A lot to deal with. 😱

@annecarter5181 that's the ultimate goal. If he has epilepsy it can be an ongoing treatment which would necessitate domestication. But it could be a illness which can be treated with a short term course of med and still be released into the wild. I'm just praying for the best possible outcome. He's already won my heart with his sweet self

@@jenn1730 I get you. He’s a precious little bugger!! My Neuro experience has been with humans although my cats have benefited too. What looked like “tiredness” while Carol was holding Magoo, was very probably a “post- ictal” state - the confusion & sleepiness that follows a seizure. (Regardless of species) I hope this is s’thing fixable; he’s a lovely little creature!!!

@annecarter5181 I have a rescue from a breeder. She was going to put Liz down because she was "defective". I brought her home, got her diagnosed, and we have her on medication now. The agitation/activity is usually how Liz is for several hours prior to her seizures, then she's disoriented for about 45-60min, then she's exhausted and wants to cuddle. Her seizures happen roughly every other month. They used to scare me so badly, but now I'm just vigilant, time the seizures, keep up with her neurologist and meds, and she lives a pretty happy life She's my angel in every way.

Seizures sounds like possible head trauma in his past maybe. Look into a homeopathic or Bauch remedy, that might help. Very gentle and works great with animals they are very sensitive to herbal remedies. Camomile tea with honey might help to keep him calm and relaxed...it tastes good and doesn't hurt.
