LS2 Challenger Carbon GT Helmet. Good for us 'Long Ovals'. Quick Unbox

Just a quick first thoughts about the LS2 Challenger Carbon GT helmet.

Great video, new to biking and been struggling to find long oval helmets but tha ks to this video ive managed to drop on a brand new unused 2nd hand ls2 challenger carbon in box with bags etc for a bargain £125 which means A. I've saved more than i paid for it B. I can finally start the lonnnng process of my licence's 🎉

I bought mine (same colour, Carbon Alloy) about 2 months ago and I'm very impressed with this helmet. It replaces a Shoei GT Air (mk. 1). I have previously had Schuberth and Arai helmets and this LS2 model has _nothing to envy_ over those more premium brands. At the price point the LS2 comes in at, it really is a no-brainer. Great helmet!

Yeah man! It is noisy at speed tho, but that's the only gripe

@@poorpossum79 Dunno. I bought the Schuberth for the noise reduction.....just as noisy as the Arai IMHO. Same with the GT Air, no reduction in noise over the Schuberth. I maybe notice a _small_ increase with the LS2, but it's minimal.

Thanks for this video. I'm in the market fir a long oval helmet to substitute my Shoei GT Air 2 (well built helmet but pressures my forehead a lot). Was considering the Icon Airflite which is pretty but doesn't match the looks of my bike. Dream helmet? A retro looking helmet (love the looks of the By City Roadster in matt grey) that can be worn at high speeds on a bike without a windshield. I know... just a dream. Even though this Challenger doesn't tick all the boxes, it looks like a good compromise: - fits my long oval head shape - full face helmet for long-fast rides - the "jeans titanium" looks somewhat modern-retro Icon Airframe is intermediate oval, like my current Shoei. It's out of the game for me. Ruroc Atlas has too many bad reviews.

@@luciolibanori thanks! I looked hard at the Icon too. Also Ruroc and Simpson. Unfortunately they are not as long oval. My head is so long this is my only option :(

@@poorpossum79 That is a big problem for me as well. Have you changed the helmet or sticked with it and just pop some earplugs in?
