Thank you for defending the wholesomeness of the show. The same characteristics that existed in the Waltons and Little House on the Prairie. My family was flawed just like every family has flaws, but that family dynamic is what we strived for. It was what my parents tried to provide. It was not unrealistic.

Agreed. The show resonated with many for portraying that sense of wholesome family togetherness. You have kids today watching 50 year old episodes for the same reason.

Every so often I read a comment from a poster who saw the BB as respite from the turmoil in their home lives.

My favorite, and most handsome of the Brady boys. I remember in the '90s, every day after school my twin sis and I would put a pizza in the oven, turn on TBS, and watch The Brady Bunch. I love this.

Thank you for this interview. I love Variety shows so the BBVH came at a perfect time. I liked cousin Oliver because I knew I couldn't be a Brady but I could be Cousin David 🙂

I haven't watched the Brady Bunch since I was a child in the early '70s, but certain scenes and moments are etched forever in my memory. Christopher (Peter) was my favourite of the Brady Boys. Whatever crazy story lines were thrown at him, I found him believable.

Another great informative and balanced discussion of the range of his career and life in the industry. I remember when he appeared on an episode of the Krofft Show Bigfoot and Wildboy in late seventies. He played a boy who was bitten by a wolf who was experimented on and he became enraged and strong. Great job overall on this episode guys.

He came to where I work in Vegas a few years ago (a Cirque du Soleil show). He and his group came to my station. He was turned away and another person handed me the tickets. I saw the name on the tickets and was just about to say, "That's the same name as the guy who played Peter on The Brady Bunch," he turned around towards me. Being a big Bradymaniac, I was star struck. Everyone else disappeared and reached out to shake his hand. He was very nice and I'm sure I embarrassed myself.

Wish I could ask him what Carol and Mike’s backstory was. I thought they were both divorced but learned recently that Mike was a widower. Don’t know if Carol was divorced or widowed as well.
@PopCultureRetro6 ай бұрын
Mike was supposed to have been a widower, and I believe that I read that Carol was supposed to have been divorced, but they never mentioned him again.
@msr11163 ай бұрын
Sherwood Schwartz wrote the character as divorced but in 1969 divorce was uncommon in conservative and still somewhat religious American society. The network didn't want Carol to have had a failed marriage so her status was not specified.
