"The group, aptly named ‘Wildlife Aid’, includes Tony Hadley, former lead singer of Spandau Ballet, Carol Decker from T-Pau, Paul Young, Tunde from Lighthouse Family, Roachford and members of boybands 911 and A1. Other artists on the recording include Doris Pearson from Five Star, Clark Datchler from Johnny Hates Jazz and Simon Climie from Climie Fisher. Songwriter and pop star Nik Kershaw, who wrote the hit, gave permission for the song to be used and its original performer, Chesney Hawkes, is also supporting the project. All artists and producers donated their time for free." A wonderful initiative for a worthy cause.

What a great idea and I shall treasure my MP3 file. I remember Chesney Hawkes and this song from my student days. The singing here is superb and it's good to see wonderful people like Carol Decker and Paul Young, who were everywhere in the 80s. I just saw it is apparently your birthday. I couldn't ever imagine shedding tears seeing how so many come together to keep Wildlife Aid afloat. Nor could I imagine that I would see so badly a success. The elephant in the room is still the blasted illness. I still have hopes that the "terminal" in the diagnosis was referencing to the cancer. Not you. Happy birthday. And I treat myself to a single today. Always liked the song, but now I love it.
