This is an epic topic! I’ve watched a few videos by this like 65 year old dude who’s quite popular and he criticizes every song that doesn’t have a physical instrument in it. He’s likely not alone in that thought because he grew up before the 80’s when presets actually were gaining popularity, such as when Rush were in their prime.

Anyone who says pop music sounds the same did not live through the 90s. Pop music is incredible right now because it’s so many different genres and so many different styles and sounds and it’s all classified as pop. I love it.
