Hello friends! Her first time listening to Pink Floyd! The song we selected was 'Time' from The Dark Side of the Moon (1973). This is her first time reaction to this song and we really hope you enjoy it!

-------------------------------------------------
"Time" is a timeless gem released in 1973 as part of the album "The Dark Side of the Moon." This epic composition takes us on a journey through time, captivating us with its masterful blend of progressive rock, psychedelia, and profound lyrics.
The song begins with an unforgettable clock-themed intro, reminding each of us of the fleeting and inescapable nature of time. Roger Waters' hypnotic and distinctive vocals intertwine with David Gilmour's enveloping guitar chords, creating an ethereal atmosphere that grips the listener from the very beginning.
As the song progresses, we are treated to tempo changes and intricate instrumental layers that perfectly convey the complexity and meaning of the lyrics. The profound and reflective lyrics invite the audience to contemplate the ephemeral nature of time and how we face our own lives.
Throughout its nearly ten-minute duration, "Time" takes us through thrilling transitions and dynamic shifts, creating an unparalleled auditory experience. Nick Mason's captivating percussion and the instrumental talents of the rest of the band complete Pink Floyd's musical masterpiece.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Time by Pink Floyd Lyrics
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
Fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your hometown
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
And you run, and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death
Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say
Home, home again
I like to be here when I can
And when I come home cold and tired
It's good to warm my bones beside the fire
Far away across the field
The tolling of the iron bell
Calls the faithful to their knees
To hear the softly spoken magic spells
Songwriters: David Jon Gilmour / George Roger Waters / Nicholas Berkeley Mason / Richard William Wright

Hello friends! We want to thank you very much for the support you are giving us in this video. Possibly we will react next time to "Comfortably Numb" Live at London's Earls Court (Pulse). Many have recommended that song to us both for its guitar solo and for what the song represents for the history of the band and Rock in general. Take care! 😊😊

Welcome to the very deep Rabbit Hole that is Pink Floyd. My all time favourite band, try their first single "Arnold Lane" with singer and guitarist Syd Barrett. Syd's story is a big part of what Pink Floyd is even after his departure from the band.

Dark Side Of The Moon is a great album. It has made people cry listening to it the first time through. The 70s were a time of "AOR" music, Album Oriented Music. You were supposed to put the album on the turntable, start at track one, and listen to the entire album. The song Time, the older you get, the song will evoke different feelings. The song is about life, and as you age, the lyrics will mean different things to you.

I am so happy someone else tells these younger folks how these albums are meant to be heard. They miss so much hearing Dark Side of the Moon or The Wall, piecemeal. They can’t be blamed, the technology has made skipping too easy to miss the real artistry of the whole thing. Remember the trying to find a song on a cassette?😂

@@Hardrock1a What bothers me is that with streaming audio, today's listeners don't get to caress, feel and touch the music the way we did when we took the vinyl out of the sleeve. They don't understand how holding the album cover and reading the album sleeve added to the enjoyment of the experience.

A great song about life itself with respect to time...... an always accelerating TIME that moves faster the older you get. Time is followed by The Great Gig In The Sky......Time itself is completed by The Great Gig, and it is best to listen to both songs as 2 seperate movements of the one song. The lyrics of The Great Gig move many people to tears....... and you noticed a “ creepy” element to some of Times music..... This is not a bright air head pop song..... it is about the reality of life and how we waste our precious time...... which is in itself a scary thought. Pink Floyd’s music always echoes the deep meaning of the words. lol

Named in homage to two old black blues musicians from North Carolina, PINK Anderson and FLOYD Council, at first they called themselves "The Pink Floyd Sound", later shortening it to just Pink Floyd. Never recorded a love song, always had something to say. They are the cerebral band of Rock & Roll, no other band like them to make any comparisons to, a genre' all by themselves.

When you talk about the last part of the song, the one where the music slows down, it's actually a continuation of a previous song, called "Breathe Reprise". Here are the titles of the tracks on side A of the album: 1 "Speak to Me" - 2 "Breathe (In the Air)" - 3 "On the Run" - 4 "Time (including Breathe Reprise)" - 5 "The Great Gig in the Sky". Each of the songs on this album are linked to the others by a central theme which is: "What drives people crazy". And if one thing can easily make us lose our minds, it is the inexorable passage of TIME. No matter how fast you run, lost TIME can never be made up.

The song lyrics capture the sense of how time passes when you are young compared to when you are old so well. As a child or young adult, time seems to pass quite slowly. Days last a long time and summer vacations seem to be endless. When you are into your 60s, as I am, things that seemed to have happened only a couple of years ago actually happened a couple of decades ago. It's 2 Aug and it feels like 1 Jul was just yesterday.

I grew up as Pink Floyd albums were released. The preferred method to listen was to dim the lights, lie on the floor with headphones, close your eyes, and let the music and lyrics create your own personal experience as your mind makes images. Some people used alcohol or other substances, but it’s not necessary.

First, I recommend the official audio studio version of the song "Stairway to Heaven" off of the album Led Zeppelin IV (always start with studio versions of songs before listening to any live performances, especially with Led Zeppelin who were very improvisational when performing live). Next, I recommend the studio version of the song "Since I've Been Loving You" off of the album Led Zeppelin III. You'll gain a lot of subs with Led Zeppelin. Peace

Did you spot the immediate transition into Breathe reprise?...straight after 'thought I'd something more to say'...?. if you think this is a masterpiece, do yourself a favour, lie down in a dark room...incense optional...and listen to the whole album on good headphones in one go all the way through. That's because the entire album is really just one track, each song melts into the next. In Pulse 1994, they do it live as one piece (but you need to hear the classic studio version first). Then it'll be apparent why this one album is regarded as possibly the best rock album ever recorded, it frequently is in the top ten albums of all time, sold around 45 million copies and was in the US charts for a staggering 13-odd years. DSOTM is a truly staggering masterpiece, just perfect....go and enjoy it😊

The song is self-explanatory, and, no, I would not suggest another Pink Floyd song here, lol. Perhaps Wooly Bully from someone else, I don't recall.

good to see the girl listening to the lyrics and music, if the guy needs a drink he should just leave her to react, he is a waste of space.

Dear friend. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to watch our content and share your thoughts. We highly value the feedback and diverse perspectives that enrich our community. Regarding your comment, I want to clarify that on our KZbin channel, we aim to share genuine and authentic reactions as Mika listens to new bands and music. Our dynamic involves a collaboration between friends, where Oliver introduces Mika to various music genres, and she reacts for the first time. I (Oliver) want to clarify that I understand that my presence drinking "Mate" on camera may have caused discomfort. I apologize if that offended you in any way. I acknowledge that "Mate" is a deeply rooted tradition and custom in Argentina, and its significance goes beyond being just a beverage. It is a way to share good moments and connect with others. It is essential for us to maintain a respectful and positive environment in our community. We greatly appreciate your comments, and rest assured that we will take your feedback into account to improve our future videos. I hope you can better understand the focus of our channel and continue to enjoy our musical reactions. Your support is crucial to us, and it motivates us to keep sharing our passion for music with all of you. Thank you once again for taking the time to watch the video and leave a comment. We hope to see you again soon in future videos. Greetings from Argentina!

Hello friend! Haha.🤣 It's not alcohol. It is “mate”, an Argentine drink made from herbs. It's like a tea. Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷

If your first words after listening to Time is 'its chill', then I'm sorry but the song went all over your head. There's nothing chill about this song, it's dark, depressing and realistic.

Hello friend, I think Mika was referring to the music, not the lyrics. The song has a style that resembles reggae at times and makes it sound like that. The lyrics do call for reflection. Greetings from Argentina!
