POP UP CAMPER AWNING SETUP

Our first time of setting up the awning on our pop up camper; Rockwood High Wall 276. This is the same model as a Flagstaff High Wall 27SC. It only took a few minutes and even with just one person, was not that difficult.

Thanks for making this video. It comes with no instructions. It is simple enough but when the legs are flailing around and you have never seen it done before it can be frustrating to say the least. My idiot rv guy installed the top bracket outside where that is so I have about a 1 inch gap from pole to tarp. I will be doing your marker trick also great idea.

All the people saying this caused them to. Ot get a popup: no offense to this guy but he’s just very inexperienced. I can have my popup setup and ready to go in about 20 minutes. It just takes a few times to get your system worked out. I wouldn’t trade it for any travel trailer.

I have the same awning, look at my profile pic I found that the rivets on the pole hinges were too tight causing damage so I replaced them with “sex bolts” really, that’s the name The other issue was the aluminum poles, damaged from the too tight rivets (holes tore through) also were too flimsy I replaced those with telescoping black steel paint roller handles from Home Depot They are exact replacements, even folding into the aluminum channel, steel instead of aluminum, lock tighter and bend less, requiring some work to the ends It fixed the awning so it’s useful Domestic should be ashamed I’d like to find a couple of those little sockets Incase mine break Dometic sells no replacement parts When I asked they said I should buy a new awning My answer? Why would I buy another one of these?

After watching all the work you had to put in into setting up the Popup Camper on both of the videos, I rather get a small TT.

Lol, ditto! I'll stick with my large tent and canopy. Quicker, don't have to tow, cheaper = no extra insurance!
