I'm an 80's kid, and I'm just rediscovering RCs again after all these years. Along with a Commodore and Spectrum computers. 🕹 I've currently invested in nine RCs. The Turbo Optima, Super Dog Fighter, Egress (black edition), Avante, to name a few of them. Recently discovered you lads here on KZbin. It's great watching your videos. Happy Christmas, and enjoy those lovely gifts that you have received. I'm looking forward to watching your videos in 2025. 🚗

Way to go RC Steve! Generous man. Boys, the Pop-Up idea is fantastic. To be fair I would look to charge a small amount to cover your fuel and accomodation but I'm sure no one would object to that. Just don't forget the North East! All the best lads to you and your family.

The Vostok timing system, nice choice. Compatible with most transponder we use in the UK, which is something that can't be said about the latest (and much more expensive) Mylaps system. For personal transponders you still need to access a spare received port to power them, Vostok also make handout versions of their transponders that have a built in battery attaches through a hole in the body, or using the old school transponder mount that Tamiya still includes with a lot of their cars.

That’s great news for you guys. That’s the same system as we run at the Mill End RC club. It’s a pretty reliable timing system. If you need any help or advise setting up let me no. All the best to you both and happy Xmas. We hope to do another fun day with you in 2025. Thanks mark.

A travelling RC track would be great,it would definitely be the only one in the country. I think it's a fantastic idea. You could do inside tracks in winter, places such as school halls and in summer outside.in summer it wouldn't cost a thing, there's public football fields everywhere. I'd definitely be up for it, specially if it's not too far away.

a pop-up RC club is a great idea! As well as getting into some schools for sessions, maybe you could get in touch with some local youth clubs/centres and run some sessions there too? Grow the RC community guys much love

Awesome score guys. The world is your oyster. I've had an idea for a while, but I don't know if the hardware exists for it. Basically, RC hillclimbs. But you need a timing point at both ends of any course you make.

that is true

You should find a large field and make a track with rope and tyres and ramps and hold a pop along open day racing and bashing and stunt competition . That would be so epic . You could come down to my local track strumpshaw rc tracks . Might attract a few people z I have some basic videos of it on my channel.

The laptop is for a self driving race car and the timer is for the track? 🙂 If nothing else a self driver on an oval with a nice timer is a great way to test tires. Just make your track with 5 inch tall terrace board guard rails for the lidar to follow.

@techspeedrcКүн бұрын
In the UK by far the vast majority of racers are still running in school and sports halls on a weekly basis. Permanent tracks are in the minority, they just seem more prominent because they are the ones that hold big outdoor race meetings. Almost all the big indoor races are still run in hired sports halls.
