Greetings from the Philippines! Thank you, Fr. Chris and Marian Fathers for your ministry. My fondest memories of JPII were running after his Popemobile on his second visit to Manila in 1995, spending 16 hrs in Quirino Grandstand for the World Youth Day Vigil, and then being part of the 5-8million gathered for his Sunday Mass. Being in the presence of JPII was immensely moving (tears wouldn’t stop flowing, tears of peace and joy) and was such profound blessing. He, along with St. Therese of Lisieux, are the patron saints of our family, and i have dedicated my children under his patronage and intercession. 🙏

Today, I am a devotee of St John Paul II and of Divine Mercy, vowing to live my life in service and prayer to God and others. Jesus, we trust in You! St John Paul II, pray for us! I grew up in New England, and I remember when my aunt came to visit from Portugal so she could see JPII in NYC, it was momentous for her. Only in my older years and after my Catholic conversion could I appreciate him. Thanks Fr.Chris, you are an obelisk of our faith. 🙏

I remember his first visit to America in 1979. He touched down in Boston (my home town) and I went to see his motorcade from the airport to downtown. There was so much excitement back then. Local News media covered his Mass on the Boston Common that drew thousands of people, standing in the pouring rain. I wonder how it would be today. I don’t think Pope Benedict ever visited Boston, and neither has Pope Francis. Back in the day, now I’m really going way back, During St Paul VI visit to NYC, his Mass from Yankee Stadium was broadcast nation wide on one of the networks. I doubt that would happen today. God bless you, my New England friend.

Thank you for this talk. JP2 has been a big part of my life. He is my fellow countryman and I remember seeing him in Toronto for world youth day in 2002. We arrived early around 4:30am, we wore black plastic bags over us as it was raining throughout the morning. As his helicopter landed the sun broke through the clouds and the rain stopped. It ended up being a beautiful day. I'll never forget how he addressed people in many languages at the end of his visit. We were waiting for him to say something in Polish which he saved for last. I was 15 years old and will never forget that day. I just got my sacrament of marrange yesterday on his feast day at 2:00. JP2 pray for us!

If it was allowed the whole Philippine population would be there in Manila to see St. John Paul II. I was not present but I was fascinated of the stories of those who were blessed to see and meet him. They all have the same heavenly feeling upon seeing him even at a distance. I have gotten to know Saint Charbel at the beginning of this summer, and I promise you I will ALWAYS pray for Lebanon. When I was a new Convert, in the early 1970's I saw a piece about JPII when he was a Cardinal in Poland. Something just *stopped* up inside of me, and I said, "He's going to be our next Pope" He wasn't, JPI was, but then he died 33 days later, and Saint JPII was elected. I really lean on him and his prayers.

INCREDIBLE just INCREDIBLE. I always knew the accounts of Saint John Paul II ‘s holiness, but the Divine intervention/ “coincidences” that occurred from his early priesthood right up through his papacy were stunning. The connections with the Marian Fathers, their providing Saint Faustina’s Diary to the Holy Father, when he was shot, his influence on Father Kaz’s vocation, (as Father spoke about in the homily this morning), and Father Kaz being a part of the movement in Poland, all overwhelm me, in the best possible way. My heart is so full. Father Chris, listening to all the information that you gave us today, about this great saint’s holiness, kindness, compassion, work-ethic, and no nonsense approach, shows me his profound influence on your priesthood. You are emulating the best. (It sounds like you also learned a great work ethic from your dad). The whole lesson was informative and when you got to the conclusion focusing on “the Sparks from Poland” , namely, Divine Mercy, Saint Faustina, Saint John Paul II and the Marian Fathers, I was cheering and joyful tearing here in my house. The interconnection with the Marian Community and these two great Saints of the twentieth century is just stunning. While reading my social media earlier today, many in my age group credit Saint John Paul II, with reeling us back in. For me, he was the beginning of reestablishing my Catholic roots. Fast forward to now, I thank God every day for having found this community. The Marians continue the work Saint John Paul II began in my life.😇 I pray that all The lukewarm Catholics can discover this richness and fullness of our precious faith. May God bless all who are watching today. 😇😇😇😇😇. God bless you Father Chris, and thank you for being such a passionate messenger of God’s word.

I was 20 years old when Pope St. John Paul II ascended to the Papacy. My parents were so excited and their excitement caused me to be excited. I followed everything about this great man. I was so proud when he came to the Cathedral Basilica here in Newark, New Jersey. I only lived a block down the hill from the Basilica. The energy around the neighborhood was astounding!!! because Catholics as well as non-Catholics was around the whole church to get a glimpse of the Pope. The big Megatron tvs were set up. When we saw him entering the Basilica on those tvs, the whole neighborhood erupted in cheers and applause. My eyes welled up because it was magnificent to see all the non-Catholics cheering just as loud as the the Catholics. The cheers became even louder when he appeared in the famous Pope Mobile around the church. What an afternoon👏👏👏!!! That was a testament to this great man. My whole family and other relatives also went to the stadium where we actually saw him in the flesh and, it was so holy and wonderful for us New Jerseyans. I have followed his whole "Pope" career until he died. There are some things that he should not have done but, all that is overshadowed by his greatness and holiness. I for one miss him so much because he was the Pope of my adult life and I followed everything he did. I loved him so much and always pray to him. VIVA SANTO PAPA!!!

Fr. Chris, thank you for the wonderful extraordinary joy you fill our hearts today! With your special message on Divine Mercy on the Feast of St. John Paul, it permeates our hearts that this message be spread and shared to the whole world. Thanks to St. John Paul and St. Faustina whom God has chosen ahead of us, that by their lives in obedience and communion with Him, the Divine Mercy will continue to be received in humility, gratitude and love. About the life story of St. John Paul, it’s worthy of imitation specially his life of prayer so immerse in the presence of God that sparks holiness in whatever he does and says. The effect of personal prayer in complete communion with God brings blessings and graces to others and eternal life in heaven. Fr. Chris, your tireless and inexhaustible inner strength is amazing, fascinating and very inspiring! God bless you and prayers for you and Brother Marc who is your constant loyal companion in the livestream.

Fr. Chris I listened to this talk Saturday afternoon and I really enjoyed it. I actually read four biographies on St. Pope John Paul ll last winter. In my opinion St. John Paul ll is one of the best examples how to forgive someone when he forgave Mehmet Ali Agca. He also showed how to be a true peacemaker by growing up during World War II and helping to bring down the Berlin Wall. Fr. Chris, you did a really good job with this talk. God bless you Fr. Chris now and always.

St. John Paul is really a lover of the “Holy Hour” One of the priests in the Philippines had only one wish on his birthday ... see the holy Father on his visit in the Philippines. But his responsibility won’t allow him. But lo and behold the holy Father came to the room where they had the Adoration. It was not in his schedule:)💕 fr’s Wish was granted at the same time kissed the Pope’s hand & rcvd his blessings 😇
