Well, right after you hear an explosion, Squiggy says, "Boy, he had to go bad!" My mother was on the floor laughing.

Wow! I never knew they did Lenny and Squiggy as a bit before the Laverne & Shirley show. Yesterday in the comment section of a MeTV quiz somebody mentioned the Lenny and the Squigtones album. I haven’t thought of that thing for at least a decade. I grew up watching Laverne and Shirley and yes I did buy the album. But that comment got me binge watching Lenny and the Squigtones music here on KZbin. I’ve also been watching interviews but so far they had all been while they were in character as Lenny and Squiggy or the guys who portrayed Lenny and Squiggy (not Michael and David). This was very interesting to hear David talk about how he and Michael got the job on Laverne and Shirley. Thank you for posting it!

They had a lot of good Dynamics in it and Lenny and squiggy was one of them Laverne & Shirley themselves were a good dynamic but also it was Laverne and her father were very endearing and Carmine and Shirley. That dynamic was something that happy days did not have. Happy Days have the family dynamic but it did not have the very personal level that Laverne & Shirley captured. Every time that Lenny and squiggy walked in with that hello they burst everybody up it was good fun.
