The clover flower ball is so very beautiful,and the resin brings out its natural beauty, I have a 12 mm round bead mould with no hole,so it has to have an eye pin after it is drilled, and I love to experiment with it, as I got some mica powers and alcohol inks yesterday that I had ordered, and will try the sphere one too,as its in two parts of top and bottom, great work take care and stay safe.

I read that resin gets yellowish tone after sun exposure. Does UV resin become yellow after some time?
@popokuro31865 жыл бұрын
Yes. resin gets yellowish tone after exposed to sunlight for a long time. (Although thre are some type of UV resins that are resistant to yellowing ). It is better to store them in a place that is not exposed to sunlight.

Imagine them as tiny baubles for a Christmas tree. Especially if you can make larger ones. Would look beautiful if you had lots also. But would need a lot of resin lol.

POPOKURO thank you. Uv light is used to speed up the hardening process? Can hot water (if the glass with resin is put into it)or hair drier be used. Can resin for decor (not for jewelry) be also used , or only resin for jewelry? Thank you a lot
@popokuro31866 жыл бұрын
I used UV resin. It is cured by ultraviolet rays. UV light is necessary to irradiate it with ultraviolet rays. It can also be cured with sunlight(however, sunlight has a slower cure rate than UV light.). I do not know about other resins,sorry.
@TheMurlocKeeper6 жыл бұрын
@@mariiakapraru4182 I don't think that temperature is going to affect this type of resin. UV curing resin has slightly different ingredients to it. And resin is resin, more or less, no matter what it is used for. Only thing I would avoid getting is any sort of bulk resin from a hardware store, as that is used primarily for fibreglass jobs, and is slightly yellow. Craft resin is made crystal clear, and is the type you want for projects like this. Craft resin can be used for jewellery projects, (sort of like the flower one here) or for coating a decorative side table or suchlike. It really doesn't matter. Only thing you might want to check is the working time - that is, the time it takes the resin to start hardening from when you mix it up. Otherwise, apply it to anything you like. :D PS: I haven't actually worked with resin like this before, (only worked with dental acrylic to make vampire teeth, because reasons, lol!) but have done a lot of research on it, as I have a few projects I'd like to try it on. Hope my random information helps you a bit :D
