GT Fishing Christmas Island, which is one of the best places on this earth to catch monster GT's both on the fly or large poppers. This is real adrenaline-fueled fun non-stop action. Giant Trevally is one of the most sort after fish species and after watching this video you will understand why. The angler does his best to land these huge Geets and has his work cut out.

That popping technique is not how most fisherman's popping technique. But its your special technique . The point is you catch what your looking for. Great fishing , keep it up.

It works though. When the fish are in a feeding frenzy like these were simply winding in is all that is needed 🤙

Nice fish bro... I used to catch these fish as a youngster from the beach with a ABU 10000CA which I still have and a 10 or 12 foot surf rod. I never used anything more than 30lb equipment unless I was going for Tuna on the boat. Even then I'd use 30lb rigs for the GT's... The heaviest equipment I used was 50lb, which was mostly for Tuna. Also, we never had to retrieve the bait so fast.. just relax, troll the bait behind the boat if your using a short trolling rod... They will come for it. Happy fishing pal. Chris.

What kind of bait do u use
@SportquestHolidaysDestinations
@SportquestHolidaysDestinations 10 жыл бұрын
Consuelo Segoviano Hi buddy no bait is used just lures that are designed to look like a wounded fish which gets all the GT's excited and makes them strike the lures.

Yes that will be fine my friend, If you let them get much more than 200 mtrs off the reel the chances are you will get cut off on the sharp corral
