Straight pipe is only loud when you are on the gas or start up. I had a straight piped 97 F150 with 4.6 engine. A cop heard me get in it early morning on a 5hr trip home in the a red light district in backwoods country around Cordele, GA. After bending a corner, the cop and i passed each other but i just coasted by him, either he wasn’t expecting that sound coming out of a truck or he was cool about it and left me alone. I mean this was around 2-3am.
