Robyn walked up like "Hi, I'm here for my planned scene. Can you step aside with me so I can make this about me again?" It was staged and insincere. The vibes were very very bad. Then Kody started crying and I felt nothing but disgust. We're watching both use the same set of tools in different combinations. Tears, playing the victim, anger, shunning, passive aggression, shifting blame, playing dumb. The two of them just swap through the same toolkit of tactics. I can't take any of it seriously anymore, even if some of it is sincere.

She also said that her and David talked for 2 months before having their first date. That is a lot of vetting, that I personally would count as part of their relationship. A second marriage does tend to move faster when kids are involved because having kids connect to someone you aren't going to marry is selfish. The kids just don't have the same amount of time invested in David that Christine.does, but they will just have to trust her judgment.

She is the most naive one BY FAR out of all of them. Apparently one of her friends she grew up with has told people she is SO naive. That’s why she couldn’t see the true nature of Robyn’s deceptive behavior. Like when Jen pointed out that Kody must have told Robyn he fell out of love with his wives so before they got married she made him promise that if that ever happened, he would let her go. She was actually shocked, you could see that she had never even considered that.

I can’t reconcile how you go in on Christine for acting like a rebellious teenager, without considering for a second that she was born into a high control, abusive and misogynistic CULT, and has over 50 years of indoctrination to unravel from. She didn’t have a rebellious teenage phase like the rest of us because she was at church, granddaughter of the prophet, being married off to a man who already had 2 wives. A man who was neglectful, abusive and mean. Many people coming out of these high control groups fall into addiction or worse to deal with their traumas, so I don’t think getting a tattoo or being overly enthusiastic over a man who actually, you know, treats her like a human being, is something to throw her to the wolves over.

I whole heartedly agree! With the exception of Truly, her kids are adults. She cannot live her life making them comfortable with her choices. We all know this is her first fully realized relationship with a man. Let's let her have it her way, on her terms. To be fair, I highly doubt that Kody would have helped Meri move unless the producers / TLC required the content and Kody got paid to move her. It wasn't voluntary on either Meri or Kody's part. I think their reactions were relative to being forced to shoot this scene together. I think Meri handled this situation as best as possible, considering this footage helped to pay for her move, and it's hard moving when your relationship has ended, even when ending the relationship is the right thing to do (voice of experience on this last point).

He needs Meri to be on his side so he can screw them out of the money and property.

My Take on Reality has a really good theory that I agree with. Kody and Robyn are trying to act like producers for the show, orchestrating these moments so they'll have a storyline and stay relevant. Both Kody and Robyn were trying to make Meri cry on camera to validate this special moment where they're "saying goodbye" to something meaningful. If Kody and Robyn don't make "good TV" this season, TLC might write them off for being boring, and Christine and Janelle might get a spinoff. Neither Kody or Robyn could afford that, literally and figuratively, so they're trying to create "good TV" to continue being in the franchise. But because Meri wouldn't go along with it and cry, the scenes fell flat. The OG3 all have future storylines built in because they're traveling, starting businesses, and have kids who are getting married and having kids. Kody and Robyn never film just the two of them and they don't seem to want the cameras following their kids closely, so they're at a big risk of getting cut and they know it.

It was mostly special because it became his personna, his brand. I think he has a difficult time talking to men for example, and he could USE his "status" as a polygamist to be the big shot. At Aspyn's wedding before the ceremony, he tried it with the guys in the wedding and they were unimpressed. Those scenes were very telling about how he comes off to people. He had delusions of grandeur because of his harem and they came with benefits in that they all mostly worked (except for you know who).

I posted this in another comment and I think it is valid. Watching this, I don’t think Meri showed her true feelings, she appears to be simply holding it together. This whole episode has to be extremely uncomfortable for her, he is trying to mess with her mind. I think she will look back and have a humongous sigh of relief and, unfortunately, will look back on how she was actually mistreated by her ex. I’m hoping she gets her share of everything she contributed to the land purchases. It looks like her friend is trying to bite her lip while the ex is spewing rubbish. I keep thinking about what she said last week, that nobody in a decade has called her to make sure she got to her destination. Not Kody? None of her "sister wives" what a joke. Not even her CHILD (who's no longer a child?) I can't imagine being in a family of more than 20 where NO ONE cares where you are or whether or not you're ok! But I'm not a fan, can't stand the way she's responded to them in the past, thought it was terrible the way she responded to Janelle's attempt at $ talk last week. How tragic is that. 😢 I’ve seen many times in relationships you have one person that loves the other person more. Many times the one will have the mentality that the other is much more of a prize.
