To explain how the Neurolink works, if I'm remembering correctly, it has to be trained on your brain signals, where when it's being set up, you'd have to focus on moving the mouse in a direction, and then when it has a bunch of examples of what the brain signals look like for moving in each direction, and for clicking, it can respond when you are focusing your brain in a way that matches the calibration data. As far as I'm aware, it's not able to actually read your thoughts and know when you are saying D4, or yes inside another word. You might be able to trigger a response to thinking the word yes in the calibration, but it probably wouldn't be triggered by thinking of a different word with yes in it. As far as brain input goes, to the level of thoughts, I think it's still pretty far out. There is some pretty new experimental prosthetic technologies that use signals to the nerves in the arms, reading signals as the person would move their arm, and sending signals back. It requires a lot of calibration where they stimulate the nerves and ask what it feels like, then keep trying different types of stimulation to see how it feels to them. Directly sending complex signals into the brain without having access to the entirety of the brain is questionable, and putting anything directly into the brain with current materials is very likely to cause degradation of the brain over time.

As a semi Dune fan, I just feel the need to say that there are three movies. Dune (1984) is widely considered to be shit, and is not connected to the recent two movies, aside from adapting the same source material. Dune: Part One (2021) is the recent one, which Part Two is a sequel to, and both are considered to be really good.

Dune part 1 was considered very good and a big success for a book franchise deemed to be not fit for the movies. Your video idea of not watching part 1 "cause it's shit" and then blindly guessing what it was about after viewing part 2 would not do well at all.
