Oo so fun to see people reacting to Poppy. Concrete's my favorite song of all time. To me the song's about wanting to bury your old self and starting new. There's also some other Poppy songs that are like cousins for this one, like X and Scary Mask and I highly recommend checking them out too. But I have to warn you that Poppy's been known to satirize and criticize religion in her work since the beginning so her work may not be for everyone. Also if you're interested in playing with a mask on, you should check out a band called Lordi. Hard Rock Hallelujah or Would You Love A Monsterman are their biggest hits and great songs to get to know them.

I think the song means she wants to part with her former life and live by her rules and that is a good thing. Poppy is complicated and is a mix of ideas and emotions like her genre bending music but she is never boring. Poppy does not go attacking anyone's religions and on her KZbin channel she reads out loud the bible for an hour and a half and otherwise she promotes good in this world. Blood money was a Grammy nominated song and it dealt with hypocrisy with Poppy acting as a force for good not evil. Poppy rocks!!!

Jesus himself kills 2-3 people before bringing one back to life. God killed the whole world. And millions of babies, expectant mothers (abortion) he literally killed almost all living things. To me this sounds like evil, not good. The non religious have every right to defend against great evil. And the murderous history of your beliefs
