I feel like most metal heads have been sleeping on Poppy and missed a couple of her heaviest songs, which I would argue are heavier than this. Check out Say Cheese and her cover of Spit

Say Cheese and basically that entire NXT soundtrack are soooo good. Turned me into a Poppy fan

It wasnt sleeping it was she was halfway hated in the metal scene. Gatekeepers “real metal”

It’s because she is a pop artist and I don’t like pop
@TabbyWithMittens7 ай бұрын
@@600mikeyShe was a pop artist, but now she’s a lot more experimental. Hell even during her pop age she experimented more then just typical pop. I think it’s a disservice to label her just as pop artist when she done so much now. EVEN if you don’t like her.

She's NOT a pop artist. She is musical artist. She plays metal, punk, rock, industrial, electronic, ambient, pop.

I haven't really listened to Poppy, but her scream at 2:00 was pretty gnarly.

You checked out Negative Spaces? Her new LP.

After her cover of Spit I was pretty optimistic going into this song but was not expecting to be blown away like that. You said it perfectly She was suppose to be there, a perfect fit. I remember Poppy from her Old videos where she is like a robot, never expected to be listening to her scream over and over lol. Awesome review man and a new sub!

Couldn’t agree more about her fitting right into place here. More power to her if she likes what she makes in her solo stuff, but I agree that to me it’s just strange and doesn’t capture me. I hope with her recent metalcore features she pivots a bit in this direction.

she has done this before, eat EP
@JakeLuden7 ай бұрын
@@someguyfromgoogle1481 it’s okay, she has a few others too that I enjoy but overall she hasn’t hit a groove that I personally feel too much. I know she’s huge into industrial and experimental stuff so I have no complains as long as she enjoys what she makes. BUT I’d love an ep/album of songs like this from her lol
@someguyfromgoogle14817 ай бұрын
@@JakeLuden honestly yeah I would love to see her branch into a full record of just generic metal, she's finally getting some respect out of it lol

Poppy has been making hardcore music for a little while now. I think if more people gave her newer music a chance they would they like it.

You caught the reggaton tease in the song before any other reactor I’ve watched (most obviously notice it at the breakdown)
