Even though he doesn't know much about the smiling Critters we know that they were designed to be scented comforters each of them would have their own unique scent and in order to dispense the scent you would just have to pull on their tail however one Critter had a problem with its scent that of course being cat nap there was a default in the lavender scent that caused children to have nightmares every time they snuggled up with him and as a result playtime Co how to get rid of cat nap and after that was done they had to scramble to find a new Critter that would replace him

I think Ms. Harper was one of the many staff members kept out of the loop as to what the orphanage really was. Marie Payne was LIKE a daughter to her probably because she was one of the nanny staff who interacted with the children a lot within the facility. Maybe she planned to adopt Marie through her paycheck and service at PlayCare, but there's no way Marie Payne is Ms. Harper's biological daughter. Either way, it's heartbreaking to know that this potential mother figure and Marie were essentially forced apart by the other staff

I think what's both this chapter's strength and weakness are the INSANELY creepy vibes it puts out. The rooms are just bright enough to not have to squint while playing, but so dark that it feels like a genuine threat could be lurking in the shadows. HOWEVER, the sudden tonal shift to blatantly revealing the horrendous mistreatment of children is a little... strange? The first two chapters felt much more light-hearted and only lightly hinted at the shady acts of Playtime Co - but Chapter 3 just blatantly reveals that children were abused and experimented on in what was advertised as a safe place for them. This chapter seems to have evolved far beyond a simple puzzle and enemy chase game, and I'm honestly excited to see the next part!

The game has quite literally told us from the start that the kids were being experimented on, you LITERALLY play the same games they did in chapter 2. As someone else said, they simply took the kid gloves off and showed us the truth. No mascot horror game has done that so far, even fnaf refuses to actually show us anything as dark as this, yet it's still the same formula. That's one reason why I love this chapter, it's not holding back. It's like if you took all the mascot horror games and their lore and then unmasked it, it's not showing restraint because the game was honestly never really meant for kids (even though their merch is?). But yeah I'm the same way, I'm really excited to see more

Regardless, I mainly meant that the overall tone of this chapter seems to be much darker and serious than the previous two: the distressing tape of the mother, the nightmarish Huggy, the use of a drug-like gas, etc. The previous chapters were much more just "oh look, it's a creepy cartoonist toy and it's chasing me! Oh, here's some new lore in this tape recording!" But I'll change 'narrative shift' to 'tonal shift' in my original comment to better convey what I meant. I apologise for the misinformation.

Ollie is suspicious, though I think that mostly due to fact that 'the guide of a horror game was actually evil' has become a cliche. I want a horror game that has you meet the guide, and instead of being the 'twist' villain, has them killed in front of you or something.

As of 26 minutes into the video, after the radio news report, my theory for the game is that Ollie is that little boy who was in the duffle bag, and he's trapped/connected to the play care in some way. Maybe he is actually trying to avenge the other lost children, or maybe he is toying with us because this is the most entertainment he gets. Either way, I'm super curious to see how this goes!
