I do like that Doey raises this point since, like he told Poppy, they're still people. Blowing up the factory wantonly would mean blowing up a place with innocent orphans and other innocent toy people. Makes me wonder if Poppy was thinking of what kind of quality of life for the toy people would be if they all lived (like how the outside world/government would react when they, eventually, come into the factory as well).

Idk if that’s the right word for it but poppy constantly pushes her plans on other people without much room for discussion. Fun fact they actually teased Doey in a tape in chapter three. There’s a tape in Home Sweet Home called “1322 Report: Void” that follows the interaction between a scientist and Kevin’s friend Joseph. Before Joseph shows up the scientist calls Kevin experiment “1322”. Doey’s experiment number…. Really good foreshadowing if you ask me

It was pretty glaring that we never seen Ollie in person yet he has eyes in most of the factory so it feels extremely plausible that we would be talking to the Prototype instead since he already demonstrated that he can speak in different voices. If no one ever seen Ollie in person, anyone with potential to mimic his voice can impersonate him and the Prototype fits the bill along with what great advantages he would have against the protagonists. It just seems like a good opportunity for the antagonist to miss out.

To give Doey some credit, his crashout is the result of the Kevin third of him overriding the other 2. The other 2 sides of him were much more rational and were trying to give the player the benefit of the doubt but they got overtaken by the Kevin's side sheer rage, as warned by the Doey experiment logs. The other 2 sides during his boss fight are even just crying and lamenting what happened based on their combat lines, with Kevin more or less taking the reigns when angered enough. So 2/3rds of Doey aren't even trying to kill us.

The fact they sent Jackie's parents to see him, now having been turned into Doey with Kevin and Matthew, means this was a deliberate attempt to kill them, since they never open the doors to let them out when Doey became violent; just like PTCo did with the survivors of the Theater Incident, to maintain all the incidents in the factory quiet. Jackie was the only Non Orphan child to be turned into a BBI, the other Kids where orphans, and his accident brought scrutiny that could had exposed the BBI and its horrors. So, who SENT that letter to the parents that was signed by a "Friend"? Harley or one of the Execs? If it was Harley who tricked them to come back, then probably this was perhaps the last straw that broke the camels back which force the Execs to turned Harley into a machine. In the video, Leith names the incidents, including the Theater Incident, plus the delays and cost of the BBIs, and now he had allowed Non Authorize Personal into the Prison area to kill two more civilians.

No, the prototype seems to be a sentient machine rather than anyone really, he killed Elliot Ludwig and Ollie, but the hour of joy was his and poppy’s idea but they came to a disagreement which eventually they started their own gang and start killing each other, it seems like poppy has gotten caught and put in the case, we know poppy didn’t get caught for at least a few years prior because safe haven recognizes her.

Nah, I saw a video of the protagonist outside the factory in his car before the beginning of the game. If he was a toy, he would have just awaken inside the factory and maybe have his memories erased but he was outside before receiving a letter that made him come back. I have an interesting theory about Ollie. I believe he was murdered in the chapter 4 exactly after he gave us a warning call that the prototype is coming. Poppy like the player assume it meant that the prototype is coming to safe heaven but I think it was a desperate call for help because prototype found Oliie whereabouts. after that it was prototype acting as a Ollie because when poppy asked him to help us with the generator not only he didn't call poppy by her name like he always does and when we receive instruction how to fix generator his voice was wildly overjoyed for the situation he was in. The reason why prototype claim to be Ollie all along was to destroy poppy spirit even more by making her most trusted friend a foe all this time

Around 25:08 the prototype says there was a Ollie a very long time ago. Assuming he isn't lying on that point, the Ollie who talked to us was the prototype even on chapter 1. I think the prototype was manipulating Poppy all this time, acting as Ollie, a good a reliable friend who listens to Poppy's worries, fears and frustrations.

Poppy's facial expressions during the conversation with the prototype if you noticed, showcased the 5 stages of grief. First it was denial when the Prototype had us had. Second it was anger when she used his dead allies to appear to have the upper hand (Trying to hide her fear) Third is bargaining as she is coming to grips with the Prototype's manipulation Fourth is depression when she throws the phone on the ground at the truth And finally acceptance... Only, she couldn't accept the possibility of being put back on display as she abandons her friends and hides. Alone. Chapter 5 is definitely trying some indie story telling of the year type biz.

I interpreted it as the North Block Gguard was saying that he's part of the wing of the 'rabid' toys while the other guard is on the wing where the children were able to retain their sentience. I think the entire secret orphan operation has just broken her. I mean, imagine joining a company with the hopes of helping kids only to discover that they’ve tortured thousands of them. I hope we get some confirmation if any of the orphans grew up to become the factory workers. I mean, I think it would make more sense for why the workers and security guards are so apathetic towards the orphans' suffering instead of just some random nobody coming in from the outside and possibly becoming a whistleblower. If you're used to shitty environments, you're more likely to put up with them than an outsider would. Plus, Playtime Co would pretty much have a bunch of slaves that they can pretty much hide away from the public.

@@evafiore115 From some of the notes we picked up in ch4, it seems like they wanted to even out his attributes and personality as one of the scientists says if they don't get it right the have 900 lbs of phase shifting dough. Matthew was a great leader but, didn't have amazing grades (Bs-Ds) I think, not good physical skills and a traumatic past. Kevin had good physical skills. Jack had empathy.

Not sure about Joey. But from what I read and heard in the game the reason why the problem child was chosen was because he passed all the physical tests. (My guess they merged them together so they can make one being that fills the gaps of what each other lacks)

Maybe they needed multiple minds to keep Doey together. An amorphous blob can't be easy to operate for one person. Just keeping it in a humanoid shape might take an entire consciousness by itself.

The reason why was because the only child who passed the physical assessments needed for the experiment was also a temperamental loose cannon who everyone knew was going to snap and cause problems quickly. Matthew was added in because he was a good, rational leader to balance out Kevin as a conscience of sorts, and Jack fell into the dough vat as an accident. They needed Doey to be compliant and loyal with a good degree of self-control, but the only kid with the physical prerequisites to become the basis for Doey had none of those mental traits so said needed traits had to come from elsewhere. In a lot of ways, Doey was a huge success because the Kevin side was successfully suppressed for the most part and he turned out to be way better than his peers as a person. Dude chose to forgo freedom to care for his peers, which is the polar opposite of Poppy when she was provided a similar dilemma. The issue is that the Kevin side, while suppressed, wasn't erased, so enough anger and grief could bring him out albeit as we see, it took a LOT of both to undo the suppression.

Doctor Harley Sawyer deserved both a better death and more screentime. I liked his character the most, and his death was kinda pathetic. His presence didn't feel that strong and overall, he was thrown away as a minor threat just like pianosaurus. I think we should have had a better Doctor boss fight. If

GOOD VIDEO, I find it very strange that the PLAYTIME scientists used a child outside the factory as one of their experiments, not only because they spoke to his parents but also because they did not do any accounting tests on Jack as they always did, maybe they did it to avoid the parents suing them and drawing more attention.

Doey has to be the most tragic character in this entire game. 3 young boys with their own minds forced into a singular inhuman body fighting to be the one in control. All of them with their own tragic stories, but all ending up dead because the people that were supposed to protect them didn’t.

I just thought of something while listening to this video. I saw a comment once that Ollie is an alias for Elliot. As in Elliot ludwig since it's his name backwards without the T. But I thought what if it wasn't an alias, what if it was a childhood nickname? The prototype says that there was an ollie once a very long time ago. What if the voice it's using is it's own from childhood. Confirming in the process that the prototype is elliot ludwig.

To add to the scene (22:20) where Doey is apologising if you listen very closely to the tone of his voice and the amount of times he said "I'm sorry" (which is twice) you could distinctly tell it's Jack and Matthew who are apologising to I'm pretty sure the player. The first person to say "I'm sorry" is Jack as Doey was sniffling as if Jack was crying (Jack was known as being the more emotional one as well as being the youngest out of the 3) and right after that from the switch of Doey's tone it was Matthew who apologised last before dying. Kevin was the reason we had to kill Doey, if it weren't for his anger Jack's parents would still be alive and we wouldn't need to kill Doey. Despite the report made by Dr.Newman explaining Kevin's behavioural issues like having "trouble getting along with others, being aggressive, and often confrontational social tendencies, and an otherwise combative nature" labelling him as a problem child. Even with the friend he DOES have he was reported to attack them during intense play. But because of stupid Dr Sawyer, in his eyes Kevin was ideal for the Project (1322 Doey) as he had exceled in all physical tests. Kevin's Reflexes, reaction time, and mental fortitude were tested as above average in the game station examinations. Making him the best candidate for Project 1322 despite Kevin being a problem child. Poor Jack and Matthew they died all because of Kevin and the choices Dr. Sawyer made. In one of the notes it talks about 1322 C also known as Matthew and how Matthew was such a good kid. From the tone of Doey's confession tape as well as what he says you can tell it was Matthew. Matthew was the side of Doey who took care of the toys like he did back then when he was a human. In the note it states that he would read to the younger kids, break up fights and will hang on almost every word he says. Matthew was what the younger children looked up too. And despite him not being likely to be adopted as he was 15 he understands parents look for a more younger child to adopt. He was a leader to all the other younger kids in the orphanage. What makes his story even more sad is that he blamed himself for the reason he was in the orphange in the first place it was because of the family he couldn't save growing deep insecurities. Despite that he still took care of the younger kids. As for Jack he had to witness his parents die by his own hands that he couldn't control. It is heart-breaking for a kid to witness such a tragedy not being able to do ANYTHING even at his young age. I absolutely love how complex Doey's character is having 3 children with different personalities and characteristics, an emotional young boy, a problem child and a "Dream child". Will forever miss Doey specifically Jack and Matthew.

I also thought Sawyer was a really bad boss fight because he was like one of the main evil villains of the whole entire series yet he just dies after like 10 minutes by the player

An unnecessary theory on Stella. I genuinely believe she isn’t a “bad guy.” I do believe in the interview tape back in chapter one, she didn’t know what she was getting herself into. By the time she got “promoted” to one of the higher 6, she was repulsed by the idea, and maybe went to the authorities about this, but there wasn’t enough evidence on what I’d imagine a multi billion dollar company. So, I personally think she went back, agreeing to help, to get more “dirt” on the company and their doings, even though she knew by agreeing with Laith, she would be killing hundreds of orphans, however if she did get the company shut down, it would save millions. Since she is a native Dutch speaker, I did some digging, and her last name in Dutch literally means to “dig up” or “digging”. Kind of like how she would dig up secrets and scandals within the company. I’m not 100% sold on this, but I think in chapter 3, the tape in her office said something about someone wanting to adopt a child, but the form said “testing,” which I also believe was a mistake, and Stella wasn’t supposed to know. Since the company couldn’t lose her, and her abilities, they kept her and tried to reason with her, to use her. That’s when she started questioning things, with that form that said testing. I still think she die in the hour of joy, I don’t think she would even fight with staying alive, probably overwhelmed with her guilt, knowing if she acted a bit sooner, that those innocent people and orphans would have stayed alive, and that the toys and BBI wouldn’t have rebelled. She could have died from Boxy, IF the other higher ups found out what she was trying to do. If for whatever reason she is somehow still alive, she would most likely be with the orphans asleep. NON OF THIS IS FOR SURE BTW! Just a theory I thought of for Stella.

I love how everyone on X was like "Ugh Doey is such a generic looking bland character." now everyone is like "NO DOEY MUH BOI!" lol love the switch over so much lol i do find a lot of flaws in this chapter. there wasn't much with Yarnaby, I feel like the fight with Doey should've happened first before the Doctor since I felt like this whole time, it was so hyped for, only for the doctor to not even have much. I don't entirely know what they could've done, but it didn't feel well fleshed out. Even him as the t.v screen walking around the protagonist, talking to him trying to make our character see his "side" to things, I would've done things a big differently. Even with Poppy there before she runs off for you to fight the doctor, asking the protagonist of what was her part of the hour of joy? making our character see her reaction in real time. I feel like it was a bit rushed just so people can have chapter 4 out....since it didn't feel as polished as chapter 3 did, granted of course I like how they're not even censoring much anymore with even human remains everywhere. but I wish they did more even with the toys in the safe haven. I heard from one Dev it was an IDEA to do more with them but then scrapped it for time which is a damn shame. you should never do that just because you feel like time is of the essence i want a good game you want a good game we all want well not even a good one, a great one. problem is, it wasn't the character's that were generic, it was the places, the things you did were. and even the boss fights being a bit shorter and even much more bugs then the other chapters. I'm hoping maybe they'll make a patch and fix up things. and even add more character to the characters but the layout of things of story elements and interactions of the doctor again who was highly hyped for for this chapter not even Doey, felt a bit...underwhelming.

the thing is, we have no idea whether Leith Pierre was turned into a toy or not. Is it possible that Leith Pierre is actually a Bigger Body, just like how Stella became Mommy Long Legs, and possibly a threat of his own. He isn't Huggy Wuggy nor is he the prototype or even Boxy Boo. Maybe the 5th chapter has us taking on Leith Pierre's Bigger Body Toy form along with Huggy Wuggy, as the Prototype works on it's goal of finding Poppy, so it can enact it's plans.

I knew at the beginning of PPT3 that Ollie is a Prototype. I was like how did she survive after 10 years ago when protagonist came back at 2005 to his ex job. Her voice supposedly felt like in you are talking to a kid that was 1995 but not present day. That was like talking to an original AI 1998 before it was introduced in 2016 modern technology. Not sure you guys get it what I’m saying. Just trying to figure it out.

just a theory but, what if the 'greater good' was the idea that the orphaned children are better off as toys than to actually be adopted because there are more cruel people in the world towards children than to toys. Or another theory could have been there are more children that needed to be adopted then there are people who are capable of adopting so the idea was to turn some into toys that requires minimum care and send them out with the children who are adopted or simply sell them at cheaper prices so more are able to find homes rather than age out the system. either way, a very messed up way to go about it.
