Ngl how yarnaby is treated is rlly heartbreaking in my opinion. Not only is he just a really cute creature, but the doctor doesn’t actually care for him at all. In one of the notes he simply says that the noises yarnaby makes are pathetic and amuse him. He also says that he isolated yarnaby from the others and made him completely rely on him. Yarnaby acts like an attached pet to the doctor and yet the doctor mocks him and doesn’t care for him one bit. When yarnaby died, he just burnt in agony, he was tricked the whole time, who he thought loved him never did. He just carried out the doctors bidding whilst secretly being mocked. Thoughts like this just make me feel really sad for the toys, especially toys like yarnaby who are just cute. I was really sad when doey died as well because he had a much more heartbreaking story however he was actually cared for unlike yarnaby. When doey died, people actually recognised, poppy was ready to have a proper go at us before….ollie interrupted (I guess) whereas no one cared for poor yarnaby, we just let him fall and die. A whole life of false hope and neglect led to a sad and agonising death with no one worrying, I love yarnaby, he’s just adorable and it’s really sad

I like how primal his chase theme is. Compared to Catnap, it’s made very clear this isn’t some intelligent cult leader who serves a master, this is an actual guard dog who is not only a savage animal ready to kill you but doesn’t even have the brain capacity to care, your just a snack for him

Yeah catnap toys with you letting you live for a while, whereas yarnaby is wild minded and go in for the kill no stealth whatsoever
